It would probably be more accurate to say that people that are influenced by the opinions of celebrities have ruined elections.

Not really, but they sure do make it look like a combination of a circus and a freak show. Plus, it was nice to find out that celebrity endorsements don't count for anything if nobody likes the candidate.
