It would probably be more accurate to say that people that are influenced by the opinions of celebrities have ruined elections.

Not really, but they sure do make it look like a combination of a circus and a freak show. Plus, it was nice to find out that celebrity endorsements don't count for anything if nobody likes the candidate.

There may not have been a bigger loser on November 5th than Hollywood and the institution of celebrities in general. The tsunami of Kamala Harris endorsements from the likes of Beyoncé, Taylor Swift, Bruce Springsteen, and Bad Bunny proved ineffectual for the Democratic nominee and there's actually evidence that the endorsements hurt her campaign.
