A sad day for the US

Not that Trump was convicted - if he is guilty, then so be it. But we are now faced with an election where the Republicans will be faced with nobody to vote for and the Dems will win by default.

Why couldn't either party come up with better candidates? We are truly doomed.

reply

This changes nothing for Trump's campaign. It probably will boost him, especially the Black vote.

reply

Let me start by saying, I'm a Republican and I twice voted for Trump, but there isn't any way I can vote for him again and I think a majority of Republicans feel the same way.

I'm so disappointed that my party can't get it's shit together and as for the Dems, I guess they feel there isn't any need to have anyone else run.

It will be terrible for the country no matter who wins - assuming it is Trump/Biden.

reply

It hasn't changed me or anyone else I know that has supported Trump since 2015.

We will still be voting for him in 2024.

reply

"...but there isn't any way I can vote for him again..."

Why not?
He is still the significantly better choice, like it or not.
Biden isn't even there. He's a literal puppet controlled by invisible handlers.
Is that your idea of how your country should be run?

Trump is... who he is. But even that is STILL better. And his term has proven he wasn't remotely as bad as the doomsday democrats made him out to be, on the contrary, I'd argue he was one of the better US Presidents. And I'd never think I would say that, but it is what it is.

reply

Well put.

reply

Well put? Fuck... You're very stupid. Why do you worship a convicted felon?

reply

This. I think it went from 9% in 2020 to 22% in 2024.

reply

Well, we will see. I'm not sure what will happen if he's elected. I think it will be a shit show either way.

reply

Unless we end up in WW3 first.
