The Democratic Socialists and Progressive Left are literally pro-Palestine and seeing Biden not call for ceasefire and saying he supports Israel has sealed his fate from their vote.
I've seen enough evidence to conclude that the hospital bombing was likely done by Hamas or Palestinian Islamic Jihad. If more evidence comes to light I'll take it into consideration. This does not mean I think Israel is innocent in all things, just this one event.
It was so easy to dispute too with geolocation, metadata, and silhouettes of buildings to compare to on maps. I got cited for hate speech on YT when I said why waste all this investigation when the easiest is to drop the usual bombs Israel drops in the same location and compare pot holes to see whose the real culprit. Apparently that's hate speech when Tlaib and Omar still won't believe the evidence. Some people take hard convincing. I mean if they're going to still blame Israel anyway then might as well do the thing they accuse you of for reals then have an honest discussion over it, not imaginary accusations.
How is Biden going to lose re-election? Does that mean the socialists and progressives will all vote for the Republican nominee or a 3rd party nominee, giving the election to the Republican nominee? Or does that mean that some other Democrat not currently running for President will somehow win the Democratic nomination instead of Biden?
They just won't vote for him no matter what is what I am saying (well, predicting). They definitely won't vote Republican either. I don't know what they'll do exactly but after this mark, Biden ain't their man no more. To them, he's just the same as the Orange Man. He needs the far-left/progressive vote to win the upcoming election like he needed them back in 2016. Either 3rd party or no vote or Dem alternative. Now this could change since the scene is still ongoing if he somehow got them to ceasefire. The good thing is that it looks like Egypt finally agreed to open the Rafah crossing to allow them into the Sinai so things may de-escalate.
Biden wants to give them $100m in aid but who knows if that'll reach the people and not Hamas again. And who knows if another Muslim Brotherhood will grow again once Egypt allows them in, only the future will tell. But if history serves any purpose, just don't be surprised if it does.
I think enough people learned the hard way in 2016 the consequences of sitting out the vote. If Trump is not the nominee maybe Dems should worry about ppl sitting out.
The election is a year from now. Will anyone still care by then? And what makes you think that a foreign policy issue, especially one that doesn't directly involve the U.S., will make a difference to voters? Why would this be a bigger issue than the Russia-Ukraine war? Voters usually care most about domestic issues. Why would Democrat/leftist voters overlook domestic policy to let a Republican win the Presidency? The voters that you think are going to change how they vote because of this are extremely partisan and ideological. They care deeply about the big picture. I can't imagine them purposely doing something to allow a Republican to win the Presidency for any reason. Recall what happened during the 2020 primaries when there was a chance that Bernie Sanders could win the Democrat nomination. Everyone rallied around Biden because they didn't want an avowed socialist going up against Trump.
I'd really have to see some verifiable proof that Biden made a statement (which hasn't been taken out of context) that he thought it was ok for hospitals...anywhere...to be bombed.
You're not wrong about that, and something else you'll never see acknowledged by the right-wingers here is that the main reason they support Israel is because they think that will put them in the good graces of their God for the rapture they believe will be the eventual result from all the religious pissing contests in that area.
The idea of him being re-elected is ludicrous to begin with. He's a stammering, fumbling old man with too much on his plate right now. I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't even live out his term.
I wonder what the funniest time for him to keel over would be? A week before the election? After much of the idiot dems have already voted and suddenly their vote counts for freaking HARRIS? lol.
Considering there is no front runners other than those old two farts, it's the only two choices, AGAIN! Hell, I dunno why Newsom won't run, at least he's more alert, young, and can think without having to go nevermind, anyway, etc.
