Trump calls for the termination of the Constitution in Truth Social post

Former President Donald Trump called for the termination of the Constitution to overturn the 2020 election and reinstate him to power Saturday in a continuation of his election denialism and pushing of fringe conspiracy theories.

“Do you throw the Presidential Election Results of 2020 OUT and declare the RIGHTFUL WINNER, or do you have a NEW ELECTION? A Massive Fraud of this type and magnitude allows for the termination of all rules, regulations, and articles, even those found in the Constitution,” Trump wrote in a post on the social network Truth Social and accused “Big Tech” of working closely with Democrats. “Our great ‘Founders’ did not want, and would not condone, False & Fraudulent Elections!”

Trump’s post came after the release of internal Twitter emails showing deliberation in 2020 over a New York Post story about material found on Hunter Biden’s laptop.

White House spokesman Andrew Bates said Saturday that Trump’s remarks are “anathema to the soul of our nation, and should be universally condemned.”

Thankfully Trump will never be president again.

That includes all of MAGA. It's impossible for him to be reinstated while abiding by the Constitution. Either he goes or the Constitution does. And he was lining his minions up to do the latter.

Good thing it failed.

reply

Your tin-foil hats needs adjustment.

termination of all rules, regulations, and articles, even those found in the Constitution

Dont you get embarrassed defending this moron?
or you just doing it to save face on a u-turn?
He lost (and deranged) cause - drop the fucking idiot and get a decent republican candidate

(yes , i admit dems could use a better leader too - but Trumps a different league)

reply

Looks like he snuck into his son's cocaine stash again.

reply

The GOP must do everything in their power to block this man from getting the nomination in 2024. Even if that means having a convention floor fight to take it away from him.

reply

Why would the GOP do that ... basically all Republicans are 100% behind this lunatic ... so they are not going to do that.

reply

Well, that isn't true. Theres already a couple heavy GOP hitters willing to take him on. Give it time and that list will grow.

reply

If your time frame had been from June, 2015 to November of 2016 ... then you might have something. Now that we have had 1 full Presidential administration with a criminal ... charged with major crimes while in office, who still remained in office, and who despite more criminal revelations out of office, and more crimes, is back running for President again - that if a full failure of the American state, and actual collapse is now not far behind. Probably all this BS and these trolls are all playing the reality show to get us all prepared, and one thing is for sure, it will not be what anyone thinks it will be.

reply

According to liberals, everything is just fine.

However, to the rest of us, there's a lot of shit going on that ain't right. Liberals are controlling the flow of information, the exchange of ideas and whether there was fraud at the polls or not, the 2020 election was rigged. If not by voter fraud, by the 5yrs of negative propaganda spewed 24hrs a day by the media along with big tech and social media controlling the narrative. The result is 99% of what you dumbasses believe about Trump and his supporters is false. Not to mention the nefarious actions of the Clinton/Obama/Biden crime families and our corrupt FBI, DOJ.

reply

So you don't mind if Trump becomes the Republican nominee again after making this statement? Anyone with a brain who follows up on Trump news would know that he would be far more interested in feeding his ego then focusing on undoing any damage done by Democrats. Also he was the one responsible for initiating exaggerations claims of fraud months before the election, and I'm sure it was because it was a useful tactic to try and stay in power, and he has routinely made baseless fraud claims long before he became President. I'd say get anyone other than Trump, he does more harm then good, even more than liberals.

reply

I'm saying that after 6yrs of lies, I stopped listening to anything the opposition has to say.

Personally, at this point, I think Trump carries too much baggage. We have the leftist lunatics mostly to blame for that but they'll never stop with their hysterical nonsense.

reply

You support tearing up the Constitution, installing a loser, and destroying democracy.

reply

No. Only leftist lunatics like you support that as you have proven.

reply

As usual, you're guilty of everything you accuse us of. Nice deflection comrade.

reply

And Social Media has made 90% of users political trolls.

reply

You won't denounce Trump for wanting to tear up the Constitution and install himself as president against teh will of teh people.

Your complicity = support for tyranny

reply

how the fuck is that a deflection?

The topic in the OP is "Trump wants to tear up constitution."

" you're guilty of everything you accuse us of" -- now thats a deflection !

DO you or do you NOT support Trump in his little scheme of tearing up the constituinn and installing himself as dictator?
THAT is the Topic

reply

Anyone who STILL comments at this point that trump should be in ANY position of power (governmental, business, et al) after THAT statement simply proves themselves to have an inability to think for themselves and should ALSO never be in any position of power (governmental, business, et al). Period.

reply

Says the people who elected a senile, corrupt old fool, because they believed the lie.

reply

Says one of the people who obviously still believes all of trumps lies. Sad.

reply

more deflection

reply

I guess that includes the Second Amendment...Look out, Republicans are coming for your guns!

reply

Rep. David Cicilline (D-R.I.) said Trump “has become like the crazy uncle down at Mar-a-Lago, saying things which make no sense in America democracy.”

Lol! So true

reply

Now theres a Rep. who sees the emperor has no clothes! (or brain)

reply

The bottom line is that Trump would not be saying this kind of thing if there ever had been anything remotely like American democracy. We have a lot of mythology about our history, and window dressing in media about how fair and noble we are ... but the fair and noble in this country only serve the purpose of putting people to sleep at night in delusion, they have no real power. Real power in this country has always been an amorphous combination of industrialists, financial elites and the Southern Confederate holdouts with major power and influence still.

See Greg Palast's new movie Vigilante and pay close attention to the parts about Brian Kemp, Governor of Georgia and his heritage and history.

The fact is that American democracy is something we still have to fight for ... and the people who should be doing the fighting don't have a clue they are being warred on preemptively now. That's why they hate democracy, socialism, critical race theory, and woke ... those are the truths that Republicans are trying to snuff out, while at the same time pretending to stupid white people that they will benefit by exploiting minorities.
