After Sarah Palin's election loss, Sen. Tom Cotton calls ranked-choice voting 'a scam'

After Democrat Mary Peltola defeated Sarah Palin in Alaska's special election Wednesday, Sen. Tom Cotton, R-Ark., discredited the voting system Alaskans chose to implement in their state.

Cotton tweeted that Alaska's new ranked-choice voting system "is a scam to rig elections," casting doubt on the outcome of the process to fill the seat of late GOP Rep. Don Young.

"60% of Alaska voters voted for a Republican, but thanks to a convoluted process and ballot exhaustion — which disenfranchises voters — a Democrat 'won,'" Cotton said in a separate tweet.

This is the first time Alaskans used the ranked-choice system after voting to adopt it in 2020.

No surprise here.

Palin runs again in November. That other lady is okay with gun laws and will give more welfare money away than republicans.Democrats don't vote in elections unless it is during a presidency time.I guess wait till November to see how far into the toilet Alaska has moved into being a welfare state.

Alaska is the epitome of a welfare state and has been since 1980, when the Permanent Fund program began...You get paid simply to live there!

It is a scam if you do not properly explain how it works. Which they didn't.

I live a blue-controlled shit hole, and even the people here rejected this nonsense.

So, this system will be used again in November to decide who gets the full term? If so lets watch what Cotton says after that election.

You aren't forced to vote for more than one person.
