Sky high energy bills ☹
I'm not sure about the rest of the world, but it's getting ridiculous in the UK.
We'll be paying about £6000 a year by January for house gas & electric (which is about 4x what it was last year).
I keep reading about France, and that their government put a 4% cap on what suppliers could charge. So why can't we do that too?
We are getting told that it's a global issue whilst at the same time the energy companies are reporting record profits. If that's the case then it can't be costing them so much otherwise our bills and their profits would be a similar % to last year.
Can someone explain what's really going on and why our government are unable to limit energy companies price increases ?
