Hot Woke Mess

With record temperatures steam-pressing the United States and much of Europe, Africa and Asia, many in my Science-Is-A-Hoax Facebook group have posed a sensible question: Is "wokeness" to blame for these heat waves?

As a white man with access to the internet and an unwillingness to care about anyone besides myself, I can tell you the answer is, indisputably, yes. Liberal wokeness is causing temperatures to rise and forcing me to leave my Hummer idling in the driveway with the AC on and the doors open in an attempt to cool the air around my house.

President Joe Biden and his windmill-hugging liberal minions will tell you the soaring temperatures have something to do with “climate change” or “global warming” or “humanity’s unwillingness to stop destroying the planet, thereby guaranteeing its own extinction.”

On Tuesday, the National Weather Service, which notoriously attempts to influence conservatives with left-wing concepts like “facts” and “data,” forecast “dangerous heat” across the country, ranging from the high 90s to triple digits.

In a heat advisory, the Weather Service wrote: “Take extra precautions if you work or spend time outside. When possible reschedule strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Know the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.”

You don’t get to tell me what to do, you Marxist meteorologists. I’m an American, and if I want to go out in the backyard and dump used motor oil in the pond while breathing in the welcoming smoke of my neighbor’s tire fire, I will do so without knowing the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion, thank you very much. Commies.

Boston's heatwave record of over 110 degrees that happened in 1911 has yet to be broken in over 100 years. Must have been all those planes, cars, 8billion people, and industrial revolution that caused it....oh wait. None of that existed 100 years ago.

Just stop. These posts serve nothing but sowing division.

Try cracking open a history book sometime...Oh, I forgot, Trumptwats don't read!

When did the Industrial Revolution began and end?

What is called the first Industrial Revolution lasted from the mid-18th century to about 1830 and was mostly confined to Britain. The second Industrial Revolution lasted from the mid-19th century until the early 20th century and took place in Britain, continental Europe, North America, and Japan.

what was the average temperatures in America in the years between 522 and 622? please cite all your sources.

meanwhile, in a 24 hour period, there is at least 100,000 airplanes flying. but thats ok cause people need to travel.

reply

How far back do UK temperature records go?

It dates back to 1659. The Armagh Observatory Station in Northern Ireland, founded in 1790, began keeping a record of the temperature in 1794. This has continued uninterrupted ever since, with measurements still taken at 9am every day. The Met Office holds the Observatory's data from 1853 onwards.

Yesterday, as a staggering heat wave gripped the nation, temperatures rose to 102.4 degrees in the English village of Charlwood, officially breaking the record. Just hours later, London's Heathrow Airport recorded a temperature of 104.4 degrees, shattering the record for a second time.

Thats only 228 years. No one knows the record highs and lows before that because the technology didnt exist to track it. We can only guess and speculate.

Are humans causing climate change? Its hard to tell as the Earths climate has been changing for billions of years.

Can we effect local climate change? Its possible. My dad used to tell me about the smog problem in Los Angeles in the 70's and 80's. They were able to rid the city of smog by reducing car pollution.

Can we effect global manbearpig? Probably not, as the Earths population is 8 billion and counting and many Countries could care less about air pollution. Grandma recycling cans and wal-mart bags is not going to do anything.

reply

Global warming has nothing to do with Industrial Revolution which started with water power!
Coal was used for heating long before powering trains and ships.
The warming around 1900 was natural rebound from the little ice age.

Get your science from sane people, not that tree hugging doomsday cult!

"Get your science from sane people, not that tree hugging doomsday cult!"

LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL thats why literally no scientific institution agrees with you. at all. you are so stupid

reply

Whats funny is that for liberals, climate change only exists if its really hot or cold. When the temperatures are moderate no one complains about global manbearpig.

reply

No, what's funny is that I agree that we shouldn't do anything about it...Of course it's because it's far too late and the planet is already doomed!

reply

Now that might actually be ironic.
(But take my advice: do NOT go out shooting with jowilli or jowilli2!)

reply

Somehow the prospect of "shooting hot loads" did not thrill me...

reply

LOL! I never thought about it from that perspective! Ha ha ha ha ha!!

reply

I think we will annihilate ourselves long before climate change is solved. It reminds of those Star Trek episodes where they visit an abandoned planet only to find out they destroyed their own civilization.

It will be like this episode.

Next up conservatives will claim its all a conspiracy. all the weather reports are made up!

my area in Canada had a devastating tornado that knocked out power for over a million, in some areas up to 2 weeks after the storm.

we haven't had a tornado like that in recorded history. that was only 2 months ago. again there was another tornado warning today. power has been knocked out 3 times this summer due to storms here. you'd be unlucky if it got knocked out once ever 3 years.

climate is going nuts and contards want to deny reality

reply

wow, once every three years. thats some great historical history. what kind of power outages did your area have between 1850 and 1875?

Its going to be 80 in San Diego this week, we must stop global manbearpig!

yes we've NEVER had a tornado that size ever. Now we are getting multiple, and multiple power outages. in Canada..

meanwhile England is going through a second year of insane heatwaves. meanwhile Portland broke heat records last year that was melting infrastructure. meanwhile the US in 2020 20000 heat records were broken

what was the average temperature during the last ice age?

climate change, not weather dumb fuck :)

whats the history of tornados and power outages in your area between the years 522 and 622? Please cite all data used.

how can you tell the difference between weather and climate change?

its 72 in San Diego, is that weather or climate change?

people only complain about global manbearpig when its too hot or too cold or when it rains too much or too little.

reply

google climate vs weather. you dont have to "tell the difference" anymore than I have to "tell the difference" between one tree vs a forest.......

you may be movie chats dumbest fucking person

reply

Weather can change from minute-to-minute, hour-to-hour, day-to-day, and season-to-season. Climate, is the average of weather over time and space. We hear about weather and climate all of the time.

we all know climate change is real, the Earths climate has been changing for 4 billion years. humans just happen to be living in a warming cycle as the last ice age ended about 20,000 years ago.

if I build my house next to a river and my house washes away, is that climate change or stupidity?

counterpoint: a road was washed away in yellowstone a while back. this road was built next to a river. this river has been there for over a thousand years and the road has been there for 50 years. why do we blame climate change and not human hubris?

reply

meanwhile England is going through a second year of insane heatwaves

No we are not.

Last years was no where near these temperatures. Average temperature last year was a little under 20 degrees.

Infact we haven't had a heatwave close to this since 1976 when it was in the mid to high 30's for about 10 weeks. This year was only 2 days.

The average for the last 10 years is between 15 and 17 degrees. Not exactly a heatwave now is it.

the temperatures hit 40 lol. but your own concession those heatwaves weren't as hot as this one LOL.

2019 HEATWAVE
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2019_European_heat_waves
"In late June and late July 2019 there were two temporally distinct European heat waves, which set all-time high temperature records in Belgium, France, Germany, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom.

On 25 July, the Met Office announced that the United Kingdom had its hottest July day on record, with a temperature of 38.6 °C (101.5 °F) recorded in Rainham Kent. This beat the previous July record of 36.7 °C (98.1 °F) in 2015, and marked the second time in history that the UK had recorded a temperature higher than 38.5 °C (101.3 °F).[115] On 29 July, sensors at the Cambridge University Botanic Garden recorded a temperature of 38.7 °C (101.7 °F) on 25 July,[116] breaking the national all-time record of 38.5 °C (101.3 °F) set in Brogdale, Kent, on 10 August 2003.[117] Brogdale broke the highest temperature recorded in SE England for "

2018 HEATWAVE
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2018_British_Isles_heat_wave
"The 2018 Britain and Ireland heat wave was a period of unusually hot weather that took place in June, July and August. It caused widespread drought, hosepipe bans, crop failures, and a number of wildfires.

In Wales and Northern Ireland, June 2018 was the warmest June ever recorded and in England and Scotland, June 2018 ranks within the five warmest on record.[46] In the Central England region, the CET is a long running temperature series, with records back to 1659. 2018's temperature was 16.1 °C (61.0 °F), meaning it ranks as the 18th warmest June recorded in England in the past 359 years, also being the warmest since 1976."

2017 HEATWAVE
https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2017/jun/21/uk-heatwave-to-set-40-year-temperature-record

Britain experienced its hottest June day for 40 years on Wednesday as the mercury hit 34.5C at Heathrow, the Met Office said.

"It was the highest June temperature since the 35.6C recorded in Southampton on 28 June 1976, the hottest day of the year so far and the first time the mercury hashit 30C or over on five consecutive days in June since 1995."

Noticing a trend? each year they break another record. over and over and over and over again. its almost like, there is extremes in weather... and the climate is.... changing.............

also you dont count a heatwave over 10 years you dumb fuck. how stupid are you man? its like me getting the average temperate over the last 100 years and saying "see no heatwave!"

reply

You stated England in your original statement and then proceed to post temps from other countries. You do realise Ireland, Scotland and Wales are different countries right. Or do you not. Do you think all of the UK is the same. Huh, very strange.

Anyway this is also the answer to your cust and paste reply below.

You said England is in a 2nd year if heatwaves. That was what I was replying to which we are not not even close. We had two very hot days we haven't had since 1976. That is an absolute fact as you do like stats so go look it up. We have had averagely warmer years every now and then but no where even remotely close to those temps. Where I am I have never seen higher than 36 since 1976 as stated. Between then and now we have had the normal 22, 23 , 24.

The problem you won't know with your stats is how vastly different temps are from as far south as Portsmouth to the corners of the North East. There can and always is a temp gap of between 5 to 10 degrees between the north and south divide. We rarely see more than a few weeks of warm weather in the north, we just don't get it where as the south do due to being closer to the equator. I don't think (well obviously you don't) you quite realise the temp difference between London and my little part in the North and it is only seperated by about 400 miles. It is night and day in comparison.

So to say "England" as a whole is going through a heatwave is not even remotely accurate. Certain parts do but the rest of us don't. I see more snow and rain than I ever see warm weather. We get roughly 3 maybe 4 weeks of nice weather, that is it. How do I know this because I live here you illterate, low IQ moron who thinks because he copies and pastes wikipedia he knows more. You don't. You have the IQ of a sofa and when questioned and confronted you scream and call people names like the child you are. That last line literally shows how childish and pathetic you are. Grow up. Were you spanked as a child or did your mum not breast feed you enough so you have to lash out when grown ups question you. If that is how you react to somehow replying on a message baord then I hate to see what you are like in real life. You must be an absolute joy.

Anyway go away child

Cheers from the US! in my job I often get to talk to folks in London and its always a pleasure. you guys are always nice and cordial. and you got me saying "no worries" lol
