Trump's Rapist Judge Supports Evictions of Millions

"On a 5-4 vote last month, the supreme court allowed the eviction ban to continue through July. One of those in the majority, Brett Kavanaugh, made clear he would block any extensions unless there was “clear and specific congressional authorization”."

No surprise that Trump's horror reign continues to ruin American lives today.

There are TONS of jobs available and society is open, why should there still be a ban on evictions? 1000s of people are being denied income because of this shit

Scenario:

kuatorises could not work for 1 year because his job shutdown because of covid. You now owe $24,000 in back rent. Your job called you back, therefore you have a salary, again. $4,000 ea. mo. before taxes.

But, your landlord wants the entire back rent of $24,000 NOW! Do you and your family deserve to be evicted through no fault of your own?

reply

Why would someone have $24,000 in rent piled up? They were either still working or getting unemployment, and we all got stimulus checks. You know who doesn't get unemployment? LANDLORDS.

I DIDN'T work for almost a year (8 months) in 2020. I used my unemployment and stimmy checks to live off of until I got a new job. I think I dipped into my savings once. I probably wouldn't have if I spent less.

reply

I accumulated a crap ton of Credit Debt to keep up with my bills. My Credit is Golden because I keep paying for everything. But I'm in debt up to my Ear Lobes, and I don't own a Boat. My 28 year old Car is paid off (thank god) and I still have a Mortgage. It's no Walk In The Park trying to keep going to today's America.

reply

If you can't pay your rent, you need a new apartment. One you can afford.

reply

I have a Mortgage, which is to say I am a Home Owner. As far as I can tell, my mortgage payment is less than what renting an apartment around here costs. I don't understand when people seem to think that relocating is like checking off something from the To-Do list. Sure, go find someplace cheaper to live -- like a Tent.

reply

I’ve had two rentals in the past. Re: the first one I depended on the rent from that place to make my mortgage pmt. When they didn’t pay it was a big worry for me. I informed the renters they had to pay as stated. I sold the place.

The second rental never gave me a full months rent due to having constant repairs caused by her.

Many landlords are hurting because of the freebies given to the renters. I’m trying to find someone to mow my lawn. The one guy I called said he couldn’t take on anymore clients because he can’t find help. His words were “No one wants to work! I hire them, but they don’t follow through.” Same with my hairdresser “No one wants to work!” She was working seven days a week to keep the shop open!

So, to the lazy arses don’t cry me a river. There’s work if you want it.

reply

You are absolute filth and you don't believe in the rule of law. Kavanaugh has never been convicted of rape, in any way shape or form. You're a lying, racist, anti-Semite and you need to move to North Korea.

The Great Prevaricator of MovieChat strikes again! MC’s “Rhoda” (from The Bad Seed) bears false witness and believes the lies. God hates a lying tongue, “Rhoda” (Keelai). He also hates gossipers! You are at the top of the hate list.

reply

not sure if you have noticed but KeKe has yet to make one post about dementia Joe or even support him...

reply

I thought “Rhoda” was gung-ho for Biden, but I haven’t noticed. Maybe it’s because s/he, it is so afflicted with TDS!🤷🏼‍♀️

Federal eviction moratorium in place since September is set to expire Saturday, after the Biden administration refused to extend it and Democrats in Congress couldn't muster the votes to intervene.

Seeing how Biden's team didn't want to extend it and that Congress failed to get the votes, how is this solely 1 person's fault?

President Joe Biden in a statement Friday called on state and local governments "to take all possible steps to immediately disburse these funds" given the ending of the moratorium.

"There can be no excuse for any state or locality not accelerating funds to landlords and tenants that have been hurt during this pandemic," he said. "Every state and local government must get these funds out to ensure we prevent every eviction we can."

Biden also suggested that they institute their own bans: “State and local governments should also be aware that there is no legal barrier to moratorium at the state and local level."

If the state and local levels don't keep the ban, they're as good to blame as well.

The Supreme Court decision was a 5-4 squeaker with a Kavanaugh statement warning against any future extensions from Biden which would be rejected by the Supreme Court. Biden's hands are tied!

As your article shows, tenants living in red states will suffer more because their political leaders don't care about them. They only care about political donations from lobbyists who represent landlords and realtors.

reply

I don't see how Biden's hands are being tied when his team as stated, will not extend it once expired...

Then red states will have to deal with the homelessness that comes thereafter. Who knows, maybe they'll end up like California with their already huge homeless population.

reply

People will lose their homes in foreclosures, too. That's fine because the banks and investors will buy them at a cheap price and flip them or rent them at an unaffordable price in order to create more homeless.

Hmm, I am seeing a clearer picture now on why Biden's admin. won't extend it due to the court ruling of CDC overstepping their authority.

I'm guessing you're referring to investors like Black Rock which are already doing that and have been in the news as of late.

reply

Yes. It's not the first time. When nobody was buying homes after the last foreclosure crisis, wealthy investors were allowed and encouraged by the government to buy them and rent them out. I believe they were given incentives.

That government interference with the housing market explains why rents and home prices are not affordable for many Americans. Without professional investors, home prices and rents would've decreased.

The rich get richer and the rest of us go broke trying to pay unaffordable rents and mortgages.

reply

Just admit that you love The Trump and you voted for him.

reply

All Kavanaugh is saying is that it's the job of the Congress to enact these kinds of laws. Not the CDC or the Supreme Court.

And Democrats have controlled both houses of Congress for the past six months. Why can't they get this legislation passed?

reply

Because they dont actually mean anything they say to get in office. They just want cushy jobs that give them millions in kick backs and benefits
