Black Superman needs to be directed by a black person?

https://www.slashfilm.com/black-superman-movie-director/

"Warner Bros. and DC are “committed to hiring a Black director to tackle what will be the first cinematic incarnation of Superman featuring a Black actor.” That actor has not yet been cast, though Michael B. Jordan’s name has been brought up in the past (Jordan has denied any involvement). This nixes any possibility of Abrams directing the movie currently being penned by Coates, with one source telling THR that putting Abrams at the helm would be “tone-deaf.”"

When does the madness end?

When you can't make established characters, replace established ones. I've only seen POC replace once white characters. Has there ever been a POC character replaced by white or is that taboo?

Whether the movie should be made or not is a separate issue.

And no, white people absolutely cannot play black characters.

But for an adult to actually make the argument that the director of a movie "needs" to be the same race - or same anything, really - is fucking absurd. This is not progress. It's the opposite of progress.

ALways remember the new rules and it makes your life a lot less stressful.

White to black = Good
Black to white = Racist

A white lead can be written and directed by anyone including black, white, man, woman, gay, straight etc

A black lead can only be written and directed by a black person because 'reasons'.

The fact they can openly admit being racist by declaring they are only gonna hire black writters and directors without anyone complaining just shows how much people are brainwashed. A filmaker advertises he is only gonna hire white writers and directors and they would never work in movies again.

If you defend this then you are a hypocrite.

Hire the best regardless of colour. It really is that simple.
