Fact check: Trump falsely claims US has 'tremendous control' of the coronavirus

President Donald Trump made yet another false claim to minimize the severity of the coronavirus crisis, claiming Sunday that the virus is under "control."

Trump's claim at a White House briefing -- "It's a very contagious virus. It's incredible. But it's something we have tremendous control of" -- was sharply at odds with the assessment of public health experts, including one who appeared with him at the same briefing.

Trump continues to prove that he is incompetent and has no clue as to what he is doing. Plus his dementia is getting worse by the day. Trump can barely complete simple sentences when he's not reading off a teleprompter and his uneducation really shows. Trump is an embarrassment to our country.

More Fake News hogwash. Trump's statement is a subjective characterization ("tremendous") that can't be "fact checked", setting aside CNN's own history of factually lying in accordance with its rabid, unrelenting anti-Trump bias. Trump's trying to assure people against panicking even as he also delivers facts and gives prudent warnings about the "incredible", "very contagious" virus (why didn't they "fact check" that?). This "news" story is so petty it's silly. CNN became a joke long ago.

You lips are so firmly attached to Trump's ass that you are going to be devastated when Trump loses in November. Look around, most Americans hate Trump and his popularity continues to drop during his mishandling of the coronavirus crisis facing our country. He will not be re-elected. Aren't you getting tired of making excuses for Trump because that's mostly what you do here?

reply

Wishful thinking on your part, and no. What I said is true and would be true if Obama, TR, or anyone else had said it. "Fact checking" such a vague, subjective statement is petty, silly, and biased. As for the election, Trump must win for America, in any meaningful sense of the word, to have a chance to continue to exist.

In the meantime I hope his excellent handling of the Chinese virus continues to save lives and ultimately mitigates the crisis. Trump has already begun spearheading much needed reforms to fix long standing systemic issues that should help next time a new disease breaks out.

How did President Trump "botch" the US's coronavirus response?

Anybody who performed even a cursory review of Donald Trump and his history, knows full well that he handles difficult situations poorly. He has no history of solving complex problems and in fact, he has created more of them than he’s solved. He’s not the first person that most people would go to (or have) when they have issues that need sober analysis and nuanced insight. Unfortunately thanks to the election process, he’s who we have and he really needed to step up.

That perfectly explains Trump's incompetence.

I don't think you even read the bullshit you post. I really don't. You just cut& paste these essays from other sites, without any regard of whether it makes sense or not.

Where did I cut and paste any "essay", you lying clown? If that's true it should be easy for you to find it.

I'm wondering what our village idiots here on this board will do when Donald loses in November.

A few guesses:

-They'll call it a sham election

-They'll claim "the liberal media destroyed Trump with this manufactured virus scare" (they're already getting a head start on that but making the claim)

-They'll make Trump out to be this big victim (pathetic, but they will)

reply

They will take to the streets and riot, at the commands of Rush Limbaugh and Alex Jones.
