The hoax is Democrats' politicizing it by trying to blame Republicans, just as the Russia Hoax was falsely accusing him of collusion with Russia (Democrats also lied about what that meant). He's never referred to the virus as a "hoax" and has always taken it seriously, moving swiftly to restrict travel from China for instance despite criticism by some idiot liberals who called him "racist" for it.
