It's funny, Trump is someone who can't put personal feelings aside to just do the job he swore an oath to do, so neither he nor his followers can fathom that someone else may be capable of that. They live in a world where they believe everyone is as nasty and vindictive as he is, where people would inexplicably commit perjury just to stick it to Donald Trump. No idea if any of this about the whistleblower is true but it's irrelevant in any case. As pointed out, all of the key talking points of the whistleblower's report are being verified by other witnesses. Crap like this may pacify his base and reinforce the ridiculous myth that Trump is the world's biggest victim but those living in reality can see it for what it is. Trump is fucked.

He was an Obama holdover with "special ties" to the previous administration's inner circle who was basically fired from the Trump White House for leaking, including completely made up stuff to liberal news outlets that started the BS about Trump supposedly firing Comey at Putin's behest. This shitbag was at the center of the scheme to get the special counsel garbage started. He met with Schiff to coordinate strategy on this latest impeachment effort. These being facts that Durham would undoubtedly discover, it is increasingly clear that the entire impeachment scheme is intended as a counterweight to his investigation. The conspirators of Coup, Part II are trying to cloak Ciaramella in the protections of the Whistleblower Act and de-legitimize Durham's findings in advance of their public disclosure.
Yeah, that's been my take all along too. Democrats have seen the Durham/Horowitz stuff in the works for a while and, after the failure of the Russia Hoax, were getting nervous about being completely on the defensive with the tables turned and possible indictments coming down. They orchestrated this impeachment nonsense to try and blunt or distract from the real stuff about actual wrongdoing that's coming. It's a desperate strategy, and hopefully it fails.
