The Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew Mysteries ???

Curious about a few things:

1.) Did you read any of these growing up (if so, how old are you now, if you don't mind sharing - For the record, I'm a 57 year old male)?

2.) Did any males read Nancy Drew, or females read The Hardy Boys ?

3.) Did anybody ever read any of the original books written in the late '20's - early 30's (Many 'Half Price Books' stores often have random copies of the older book versions, if not some of the original books themselves. And on a related note, Applewood Books released a number of 'Deluxe' reissues of some of the original books ("The Originals - Just As You Remember Them"), back in the late 90's - early 2000's, which included the original texts, rather than the "sanitized" versions that evolved over the years to remove offensive ideas/stereotypes and/or 'dated' references that became out of touch with "modern times", decades later) ??? They're incredibly fascinating !!! 

61 year old male here. I read The Hardy Boys, but not Nancy Drew. However, I did read The Dana Girls. I still have several of the Hardy boys books and a few Dana Girls. They're due for re-reads.

I recently got into Nancy Drew Mystery Stories when I started collecting the Nancy Drew PC game series and after falling in love with the PC games of Nancy Drew I regained interest in Nancy Drew Mystery Stories and started collecting them whenever I could find them and I have the very first Nancy Drew book The Hidden Staircase and The Secret Of The Old Clock and so I have a whole bunch of Nancy Drew Mystery Stories that are in my storage locker at the moment because I'm in the process of moving to a new house. As for The Hardy Boys Mystery Stories I only read one or two but I got one but they don't compare to Nancy Drew's stories. I think whenever they made new series of Nancy Drew the whole series went downhill and fans liked the original series of stories more. But they should make a new Nancy Drew TV series because after the movie Nancy Drew failed a new Nancy Drew TV series would be interesting to watch and the mystery stories are still loved by fans everywhere

I LOVED The Hardy Boys when I was younger! I had them all. I am a 56 year old male and I kept my Hardy Boys books til it was time to trade them in at 16 for my new love, science fiction. To this day I kind of wish I'd have kept them.

My brothers read The Hardy Boys. As a matter of fact, I just checked my bookshelf and I have one Hardy Boys book - The Tower Treasure. The copy was printed in 1987, well after my brothers would have read it. They probably read an original edition, or close to it. The copyright says 1959 and they would have read it in the mid-1960s. I suspect this copy belonged to my mom who was a 4th grade teacher for many years. She collected a lot of books for her students to borrow.

I read The Bobbsey Twins, although my sister may have read Nancy Drew. I don't remember for sure.
