What sci-fi movies do you want to see made in the near future?

This is some of my list:

- Big screen Battlestar Galactica franchise reboot
- Big screen V franchise reboot or new big-budget TV mini-series
- Blade Runner follow-up
- Alien prequel follow-up
- A proper Aliens sequel with Ripley, Hicks and Newt in peril
- The Last Starfighter sequel
- Star Wars 4.5 (another Story in-between film set between 4 and 5)
- Star Wars 5.5
- Big screen Star Trek reboot (an older cast)
- A Steven Spielberg movie set in space
- A modern The Quiet Earth remake
- A modern Silent Running remake

There are so many interesting pulp scifi novels that could be reworked as films - isn't that where Total Recall came from? Just anything original that piques my interest and doesn't feel like a copy of another work. Stuff like The Matrix, but it's own thing.

- TV Series - Starcraft

-TV Series - Loosely Based on the EVE online world

- TV Series - Warhammer 40k

- TV Series - Stargate

- TV series - Anarchy Space show - 1000s of years in the future - Society collapsed - We have FTL travel - No Other life found in the universe - bio engineered organisms - eternal life - No AI or smart micro robots

- Movie based on Seveneves Book

- Movie - sequel to Warcraft

- Movie - Based on the Simulation hypothesis - But not corny like the matrix

Unfortunately, anything made these days is designed to push extremist political narratives into the consciousness of the public and will likely suck.

I would like to see faithful adaptations of A.E. van Vogt's The Weapon Shops of Isher and its follow-up, The Weapon Makers, not to mention one of a very early Poul Anderson novella, Flight to Forever.
