I think It's abysmal and only good for a laugh... I even did a review on the film pointing out how it's John Carpenter's worst filmmaking blunder ever.

It's so long since I last saw it. I remember I was entertained, but I've never felt the need to see it again (and I watch a lot of Carpenter).
shareGhosts of Mars evokes mixed emotions due to its unique blend of sci-fi and horror elements, just like the challenging level design in https://geometrydashdeadlocked.com can frustrate players but also provide an exciting sense of accomplishment.

Total misfire.
It's a decent B-movie, fun and entertaining. I liked the setting ie Assault on Red Planet 13.
It didn't help that the studio forced Carpenter to cast Ice Cube as the male lead in place of Jason Statham, that virtually destroyed the movie as Ice Cube cannot act for shit, and a film hinges on the quality of its lead characters, so the studio spoiled that film and was one of the main reasons which forced Carpenter into early retirement as he couldn't stand the meddling anymore.
