I remember this one being much better than expected. I like C. Thomas Howell alot and he was pretty damn good in this movie. No, it IS an alien. A virus is simply not correct, though it may behave similarly to one. The movie explains that the organism is single-celled, or at least something as small as an erythrocyte. Each cell has the ability to think, function, learn, and problem solve. A virus could not do that. I agree!!! Biden is possibly the most racist man in American history. Because “Norman Osbourne” isn’t a black name, apparently. Return To Oz says they live north of Pittsburg, Kansas in the far southeast corner of the state. Which is a five minute drive from the Missouri border and not far from Oklahoma either. I heard him say this. I’m very excited. Sorry but white people are consistently the best workers. I would if he eliminates two year terms in 2028! Sounds nothing like it. Also, how come The Shining’s main theme has become famous if it’s just supposedly a cover or whatever? So i could fap When he’s [redacted] Laszlo, he makes a comment about how he’s so beautiful. I felt there was some sort of one sided sexual tension between them the whole movie, and he almost gets jealous when his wife arrives. That was just my impression. English muthafucka do you speak it??? I think Van Buren was gay. I appreciate the hard work, but lord. Nobody said my opinion was a hundred percent correct. Anybody is entitled to an opinion. This was not intended to be a Pulitzer winning review, nor a grad school thesis. This was an opinion that any asshole can have. Nobody is “dumb” for liking this movie, I never once implied that. Nobody is dumb for liking anything. Your “I can just say the inverted” argument is so extremely flawed…you could use invert ANY argument. “Immigration is good because it increases jobs / immigration is bad because it raises crime”. You could invert nearly every sentence of a Roger Ebert review too. The fact is that I mentioned several reason why I didn’t care for it. Found the cinematography repetitive and boring, I found the performances too theatrical and the dialogue too corny, etc. In August 2023, Blomkamp was asked about a District 9 sequel while promoting Gran Turismo and hinted at the project being shelved indefinitely. "I don't know if it's getting made or not, it’s probably not," Blomkamp told Brian Davids of The Hollywood Reporter. "I don't know if I even want to make that movie now, but at some point down the line, it'll probably get made." This is an old thread now, but it’s more commonly known today in 2025 that yes, this song is an homage to Enter Sandman by Metallica. Carpenter wanted to use it in the movie but it was far too expensive, so he wrote a pretty blatant knock off of it instead. I think the main theme works well on its own, but the opening credits don’t fit the movie at all. This is a psychological horror film, not some rockin’ action movie. What if The Thing or Halloween had a Metallica homage playing in the opening credits? And using Enter Sandman would’ve been even more distracting. I agree, they/thems with blu hair are the biggest issue in America and Trump is fixing it! Im very torn on what to think here! MLK was a rapist, but Trump loves a rapist? Who is right? Can we rename some of them streets to Ben Shapiro Avenue? Interesting. He’s got my vote
