Indeed, I didn't remember about how gravity is handled in either of them.
FYI, there is a fourth book written as fan-fiction and backed by Liu Cixin himself, and people say it's just as good as the other three. It's called "The Redemption of Time" and it's written by someone called Baoshu. I'm still reading it so I can't tell my personal opinion yet (so far it's good but I hear it's going to get even better).
Anyway, apparently in China is being sold together with the other three.
Personally I think For All Mankind is way more hard sci-fi than The Expanse. There is way less hand-waving at physics and space phenomenons. Let alone the "sound in space" thing that for some unknown reason The Expanse makers decided to have.
There were a few situations where the script was a bit loose to help move the plot, but I don't think they affect the main story line, nor the enjoyability of the show. It is a Sci-Fi show and so far it stayed well within the suspension of disbelief boundaries it has set for itself.
I, for one, I'm very happy that it moved away from the soap-opera scenes and more into hard Sci-Fi.
And to the OP: "woke", really? I'd very much like to hear what scene is "woke" in season 4 'cause I have seen exactly and totally absolutely none of that.
