Finale 2024-01-11
All in all an amazing epic sage of a parallel world of space exploration with clever twists and turns. Valiant effort to create a new kind of story worked well.

shareIt was ok, I liked it. It is becoming more and more a standard sci-fi fare and less a hard sci-fi. The irony is that The Expanse, especially in earlier episodes, was better handling living in space than For All Mankind is.
I would watch more because I like the alternate timeline trope. Lets see if there is going to be more and whether Kinnaman would return for a new season.
Expanse was probably the best so far, I think the whole ghettoization of the Belt was kind of a cheap ploy. But E was a light-year forward.
I mean there was popular science fiction from 50 years ago where most ideas were
more advanced that what we see in media.
I thought this was the ultimate finale, the final season?
I did not know they were planning to go forward.
Personally I think For All Mankind is way more hard sci-fi than The Expanse. There is way less hand-waving at physics and space phenomenons. Let alone the "sound in space" thing that for some unknown reason The Expanse makers decided to have.
shareThe Expanse is handling much better the low gravity. In "For All Mankind" they don't even bother to simulate it on the moon and when they put people in zero gravity, it looks too much like people hanging on cords from the ceiling. We will see how they will handle the asteroid base in the next season, if there is a next season.
shareIndeed, I didn't remember about how gravity is handled in either of them.
