I'll be corrected on any of this cos the Royal family are not my top priority
but his dad isn't Charles
tbh he's just got a fairly regular London accent. probably the sort you have when you don't watch Eastenders every day
Hollywood British accents are not British accents. if you want to hear real Brit accents on film, watch things by Film Four
and if I'm watching a film and I realise it's by Film Four, I'll get a slightly let down feeling that I'm not about to watch a blockbuster
honestly I think it depends what you expect from a film
if it was called "The Bomb", you'd be expecting a lot more effects and noises
I watched a film called 10,000BC the other day. I wasn't expecting Roland Emmerich (because I didn't know it was directed by him), I was expecting some sort of fantasy film, I really enjoyed it (if you could get past the grunts which weren't really any more racist than Avatars blue people). if I'd been expecting Emmerich I'd have been disappointed because I would have been expecting Independence Day style cinematics. as it was (for an Emmerich film) the epic pan-out sequences were fairly sparse
I guess since the film is the guys name, it suggests that it's mainly about discussion and politics
have to admit I don't know why C Murphy's chosen image is a close up with a cig hanging out of his mouth but I haven't seen Peaky Blinders
Elon Musk would deny it and Zuck would try to sell it
how did he know that the two (Scottish?) women who were in the car in front when the earth was ripping up, were women? (old bag was I think the actual phrase he used)
tenuously linked, but in Terminator 2, Arnold doesn't terminate anyone?
I think more male celebs than you might think do this - especially on things like music albums covers
the main thing I noticed was how computer generated the big explosion on the boat wasn't (because no cg back then obviously). it was literally drawn on by hand and lasted 2 seconds
the Thames boat explosion in London has Fallen (which was in the most in effective place possible. a huge explosion that is literally no where near anything) was the most overdone, inneffective (repeated myself) cg explosion I've never seen
they should have been swapped - the London has Fallen boat explosion should have been a cruddy little thing where most of the shock wave was absorbed by the AIR between the boat and the buildings, and the Die Hard boat explosion should have been a massive computer generated shockwave thing
know what you mean - I always thought it was more something for the kids? where "he got to chill out in the end"?
the whole thing seems to be more of a kids film to me (even with retired ish people). it's called space cowboys
I didn't think it was a big-screen film
for what it's worth I felt slightly cheated. the trailers had snapshots of atoms and swirly things. they didn't integrate these into the film tho, they were just abstract snapshots of swirly things
just my 2 cents...
I remember in about 1998 buying the VHS special edition trilogy
then the DVD's came out. then the special edition of the VHS trilogy came out with different packaging. then a special edition of the DVD's came out
then the Blu Ray probably came out, in standard packaging and special packaging
there's milking it, then there's milking it

the trouble with English actors in Hollywood films, is that they always have to be "more British" than they are (eg, Hugh Grant). I seem to hear very few actors who just talk (this is back to the 2 types of Brit in Hollywood, cockneys (J Statham) and hugh grant types). Daisy never seemed to be speaking normally, she always sounded to me as if "ok, I have to be speaking clearly on set"
nah he isn't like that in rl (I have no basis to back this statement up)
if he did then every time his TV lost reception, he would throw it out the window
you mean if he only plays one type of character?
honestly....
the moment the Space Shuttle was destroyed in reality because some of the heat shielding fell off on take off, you pretty much knew it was all the fx...
has he actually done anything other than Fast and Furious?
yes I know he was in Saving Private Ryan
I've just IMDB'd him and he was in Riddick and xXx as well (and Pitch Black) - playing pretty much the same character he plays in F&F
it turns this
bullet
into this
bullet bullet bullet bullet bullet bullet bullet bullet
are the rules the same as the Elon Musk cult?
one in Transformers 2 forest battle, the tree gets hit down by Optimus, the next second it's getting hit across
also TF3 the dual carriageway chase, the signs fall over vertical and then turn into ramps the next second
Stormtroopers hitting their head etc
I'm a non American and even I know the relevance of bump stocks
