Oh no, it definitely is. I hate when people try to bring down a great movie over such a trivial issue... I think OP meant the series going Evil Dead, Evil Dead 2, and then instead of Evil Dead 3, changing it up to Army of Darkness. Is the Snyder Cut of Justice League really THAT much better? I haven't seen either... 1. How old are you? 2. What modern day sci-fi films rank among your best? 3. Which, if any, 70s (or earlier) sci-fi films DO hold up well for you, even today? You responded to me, but didn't answer the question. Should I take that as a yes? Yeah, I would definitely recommend the original. I didn't think the remake was terrible, but the original is fantastic. My ratings: Original: 9/10 Remake: 6/10 Are you a heavy user of amphetamines by any chance? Why are you posting this on the Psycho page? I'm pretty sure there's a whole board dedicated to more general film discussion... I wasn't responding to the original post, just correcting your error in stating "not able to move=paralized". Yes, Lilith's motivations are very unclear. She's suddenly presented as some criminal mastermind out to bring down Stanton, but there's no logic or reason supporting the reveal. Just pure shock value. Have you see the original version of the film? Lilith has a much smaller role there, and is less involved in Stanton's downfall. It works a lot better, and is one of the main reasons I prefer the 1947 version. There's a difference between paralysis and temporary immobility. Jim was laid up in a hospital for a couple weeks while recovering from his injury. He hadn't moved around in a while, but he was never actually paralyzed.
