I know this reply is from 9 years ago, but it is what it is, unfortunately.
If you’re “in the Industry” and “know some of the people involved”, and “know the truth”, why didn’t you just say so in your first reply instead of using it as a dubious attempt to win an argument?
Anyone on these boards, including myself can claim we’re in-the-know and have insider information. It doesn’t mean anything.

He's joking. Their reply is a meme whenever there's a question about a celebrity's personality.
This is actually a meme on social media. I've seen it on Reddit, Instagram and YouTube. Just add in any A list actor. "I actually saw him at a grocery store.." insert any actor's name like, Johnny Depp, Jared Leto, Christian Bale, etc.
Rooney met Joaquin in 2012 when both were doing rehearsals together for “Her”.
Then in 2016 they reunited when filming “Mary Magdelene.”Apparently, their relationship took off after that.
One big glaring mistake you made is that Milky Way bars aren’t vegan and since Joaquin is a strict vegan I call BS on this one.
