Amen. This film's all sizzle and no steak. When I was in my 20s I might have dug the movie simply for providing such an intense experience. But now in my 40s that's no longer enough. There has to be some point, some story arc, something.

But it's just not plausible, not to mention physically possible. Anyway, I'm glad it worked for you and apparently lots of other people. It seems outrageously dumb to me and ruins an otherwise interesting movie.

My screening wasn't particularly loud, but yeah, the whole movie was kinda pointless. It had nothing new to say, and it was totally anticlimactic. I'm surprised at the high ratings overall. A few major critics saw it for what it really is (or isn't), but many others seem taken with it somehow.

That's no huge leap. There's simply nothing to get triggered by here. It's a so-so movie based on a true story about frustrated, disenfranchised, ignorant white people who resort to drastic actions because they don't have anything else to offer. Nothing exotic or controversial in the least.
