This is so true! it was a bizarre choice to cast Smith in that movie to begin with, and they totally cut a lot of important storylines in favor of his character who was suppose to be just one of the squad not the leader!
It was perfectly enjoyable, action scenes were really cool and the lead actors were really good.
it's a simple story, so I have little to no problems with it, except for the potential for a great movie that was wasted by Sony, themselves. It was butchered in editing after No way home, and so many characters weren't fleshed out, and Vulture was supposed to appear when DR M Morbius was jailed not in the credit scenes, it's in the early trailers from 2 years!
how does him playing a small role in a movie 20 years ago make him a bad actor? and how is that him using his looks to get parts?! You imbecile! that doesn't make any sense!

All of that doesn't bother me at all or can be explained to an extent. The thing that surprised me was the story line of the little girl! what happened to her after she was put in a coma?!
The abrupt ending and mid/end credit scenes were the reasons behind the poor ratings from the critics, but the movie itself is a fun watch, and the actions scenes are really cool, Leto and Smith are fantastic, you can tell there was a better movie in it. Sony could have provided a great movie but they decided to butcher the movie in editing, Avi Arad should never touch an SSU movie again, I swear it's like they deliberately sabotaged this one. the solutions were so obvious yet they ignored it.
But Morbius does connect with Blade the character not the upcoming movie! if that what you understood.
Oh yeah! I'm following all of that, and I'm totally with releasing the Ayer cut, the studio butchered that movie! and so many better takes were left, to play it safe! even if it's not faithful to the source material. I saw the recent helicopter scene, and loved it! I believe he pushes her from the helicopter, which ties in better with her removing the collar he gave her right away after the thing crashed. I love Leto's Joker and him and Robbie should have made the movie, but she's a selfish actress; opting for the Birds Of Prey story instead of Gotham City Sirens to not be overshadowed with more known characters like CatWoman and Poison Ivy! Both the movies she has been in flopped hard! only chance she has, is bringing back the idea of a Joker and Harley movie.
With the new merge with Discovery, and the "overhaul" news, it's looking like a far chance, I was hoping for her and Leto to get back together for a Joker and Harley movie! but that looks like a far chance also.

Paul Dano is getting the same treatment now it seems like it, actors shouldn't speak to journalists about their preparation process before knowing the public reception of their roles. between the exaggerated headlines and the internet's desire to make a joke out of everything, this doesn't end well for actors
He doesn't have a lot of films where he is the lead but I highly recommend a fantastic film called Mr Nobody (it's on youtube & Netflix depending on your location), Lord of War and The Outsider He was excellent in those

It was a pet rat, Margot actually liked it and had a name for it, he never did any rehearsals with the rest of the cast as he felt it would be better for him to prep for the role that way, so his gifts were the bond between him and the cast before the shoot, it was part of his creative process for the role if you would say! he never gifted her any dead animals, the dude is a vegan!
