Well, I had to go back and re-watch it but I see what you mean now because now that I’m actually paying attention to it, when they dug the DeLorean out of the cave, at that time, that was only just to get Marty back to 1985 and without even learning about Doc Brown’s fate in 1885, 1955 Doc even said that he always wanted to be a cowboy when he was a kid and he was actually kind of cool with living out the rest of his days in retirement in the old west in 1885.
And so after re-watching the end when Doc Brown shows up in the steam train Time Machine, when Marty asked him are you going, back to the future, and doc Brown says no, already been there, I’m assuming he’s going back to 1885?
So you’re essentially saying the future version of the 1955 Doc wouldn’t be in 1985 because he’s already gone back in time? If that’s what you’re saying then I guess that’s what it meant at the end of 3 when 1885 doc shows up in the train and then they say their goodbyes.
@theendisnigh,
Yeah, the doc we all know from 1985 is the one in 1885 but what do you mean when you say he wouldn’t be there? Where is there?
But I just always thought when they said goodbye at the end was because the 1985 Doc on the train Time Machine was going back to where he came from and he new he’d meet up with the new Doc originally from 1955. I guess…lol.
But I guess I don’t remember that part you’re talking about when you say Doc even says that in the graveyard for the audience to understand.….
Well yeah, that makes sense. I guess I didn’t think about the Doc from 1955 that Marty met wouldn’t exactly be the same as the Doc Marty knew in 1985 from whenever it was when they became friends so if ya think about it, it really doesn’t matter that Doc needed rescuing from Biff’s ancestor, he really had no business being back in that time and another thing, that was actually kind of a shitty thing to do to his best friend telling him not to come after him. Guess this is one of those times where Doc didn’t think fourth dimensionally…
I would think not. I mean, why would it?
Um…. I thought Speed II: Cruise Control with Willem Dafoe was the sequel….
Ohhhh, now I follow what you’re saying. I guess I didn’t realize the theatrical version is what you primarily see now where they use the Pretty Woman song instead of the main theme that was due to rights issues that was apparently resolved in 07…. Interesting.
So in other words, I probably own maybe one of very few old copies of this movie that has what is now the alternate song in it from what you see now and what you saw at the theater if you were so lucky to have seen it there.
Yeah, you’re right, I don’t know why I said Roy Orbison….lol. I guess I didn’t realize Van Halen sang it too but what do you mean, Van Halen’s Pretty Woman is missing from the original theatrical cut?
Like I said in my original post, I have a store-bought VHS version of this movie that I’ve had ever since the late 80’s/early 90’s that plays the Weird Science song throughout that scene, not Pretty Woman and it wasn’t until some time after that when one day I was watching this movie on something- can’t remember if it was like HBO or something or if it was a network channel like TBS, USA network or something alike with commercials in it when I noticed the song during that scene was changed.
I really didn’t even notice.
I wouldn't say Beth hates everybody, she just doesnt take shit off of anyone.
I dunno, all I can say at this point is we'll just have to wait and see how it plays out when the show comes back on because in the episode where Beth tells her dad that she knows about the Train Station, I'd sure like to know what it was that John told her after she recommends to her dad that maybe Jaime needs to taken there because again, it just doesnt make any sense to me that the Indian clinic where she got the abortion wouldn't have told her when she went in there that they were going to take her baby factory as well. I mean shit, if I was going to have any kind of medical procedure done, Id sure as shit expect them to tell me, the patient about something of that nature rather than them hoping my family told me about it.
Yeah, well, my expectations were a lot higher I guess because I wasn’t expecting the show to be so empty of its contents because of the fact that the movie makers didn’t wanna pay to use the story so they did the best they could, which was lackluster at that, to keep from getting sued but still at least attempt to tell the story
This is definitely a movie. I’ll never watch again.
Wow…lol. What’s so unnerving about the drinking and firearms?? They are ranchers for cryin’ out loud and their mom does own a bar.
I thought he did a hell of a job.
Nothing they did is right?? There was a lot of times where Beau came back and apologized for saying they were wrong when they weren’t.
Beau was hard on his boys, yes, just as his dad probably was to him and his grandad was to his dad but I hardly think Beau was being emotionally abusive. If anything, that’s what made Colt and Rooster good ranchers.
Ole Beau was right about a lot of things so how can you call him stupid and ignorant??
LOL.... Oh yeah? How's that? Ive actually watched it all, twice. Have you really watched it??
And I know he doesn't tell her, that's not even remotely close to what I'm talking about. Are even reading my responses? I'm asking why he doesn't tell her and how and why did the clinic not tell Beth if she truly never was told?
And where is this "lack of understanding" plus "real world knowledge" you speak of? You talk like you have all the answers and the show's not even over yet and we wont even know until this Fall when the last half of season 5 comes out.
But just because I say I dont buy your opinions, that warrants you to say I lack understanding?? Laughable.
Who are you talking about, the character or the actor who played the character?

….because I bet she would have said no to having it done.

So you think Jaime didn’t tell her on purpose? I don’t buy that. Nobody knows why he didn’t tell her as it wasn’t revealed.
But why would Jaime care either way regardless if she got an abortion or not? It wasn’t his problem even if Beth did try to lay it partly in his lap too.

…but not back then…

I don’t buy that either. I think they did tell her but she’s playing it like she didn’t know. Hell, they told Jaime they would so I think they woulda told Beth too, when they brought her in.
Yeah but my question was, why didn’t Jamie tell Beth when he came out of the clinic and back to the truck where she was at and told her that if she gets an abortion done here, they’re going to take your uterus too…
But I agree, no matter the case, Jamie shouldn’t be blamed for this anyway, because it wasn’t his fault that Beth got pregnant.
