On a side note, my favorite movies of 2024 were Sound of Hope: The Story of Possum Trot, Transformers One, and Furiosa. I missed out on two high rated movies which are The Wild Robot, and Flow. Definitely want to watch those. I see. Thanks for the kind responses, guys. I may still give this one a watch someday since it is the highest rated movie of 2024 on IMDB. So surely it must have earned its high rating for a reason. I would say that this is the one movie that deserves its spot on IMDB. I enjoyed it when it first released and I am pretty sure I will enjoy today. I love the visuals and the story was nice. It is one of the those films that does not overstay it's welcome, and certainly worth it's runtime. You are not the only one. Not sure what the appeal was for the first movie but I guess because it was more family friendly and perhaps more relatable. This movie on the other hand took everything from the first movie and made it much better with the more mature writing and more impressive action sequences. I enjoyed this movie way more than the first film. This one had a plot that actually got into unlike the first movie which was just a kid's film with silly moments for laughs. I suppose I enjoy movies with more serious and mature story telling as opposed to a movie like Mutant Mayhem. Not that the plot for this film was that much more mature but it helped with the writing. Plus the action sequences were better in my opinion. Great live action adaption but that isn't a movie based on a video game. I think it had more to do with his neurological disorder from the burn that he received from the gas and explosion. Neurological disorders affect how a person thinks, moves and feel. That along with losing what he had caused to him to lose his rational train of thought. I aways thought StH was the lesser known of the two because I never caught it on tv back then as I did with AoStH since that one premiered daily. Mortal Kombat was alright. Not the movie I had in mind. View all replies >
