Seth Rogan & James Franco movies, like
Pineapple Express (2008) and
Your Highness (2011)
Yes. (Hungary)
The Hives feat. Cyndi Lauper - A Christmas Duel
The Real Group - The World for Christmas
😆
also from 2004, not this decade
Personally, I consider 2013 the worst, since I was making very little progress in my life. The best was either 2010 or 2019.
Globally, 2016 was the year when it seemed that humankind went totally crazy (US elections and european terrorist attacks, etc.). The best was definitely before that. 2014 maybe? I have mostly upbeat memories from that time.
The Nun (2018). Not scary, not funny, just predictable boring $hit.
He might have been old and smart enough to foresee the consequences of his actions, but since he wasn't a provider, he might have been unaware of the damage he's done. A 10 year old isn't necessarily able to tell the difference between the price of an ice cream bowl served in a luxurious hotel, and one that's made by her mother from store-bought cheap ice cream.
'But not today.'
The Aviator (2004) not a favorite but a good example of the subject matter.
Yeah, the similarity in appearance would have been be the only reason to cast him.
It wasn't a great movie by any means, but I like the "eerie" side of Christmas. :) It won me over by featuring Bright Eyes' version of 'Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas'. Depressing but beautiful.
I agree with you Queen wasn't all about Freddie. His solo album had far less success, for example.
But I agree with OP that if half of the movie were about the surviving band members coping with his death, it would have been boring as hell.
Tom & Jerry: The Night Before Christmas (1941)
Home Alone (1990)
Home Alone 2: Lost in New York (1992)
How the Grinch Stole Christmas (2000)
A Christmas Carol (2009)
How I Met Your Mother: Symphony of Illumination (2012)
Krampus (2015)
ADHD + alcoholism.
Michel Gondry
Woody Allen
Milos Forman
Tim Burton
Wes Anderson
Once Bitten (1985) - great!
Copper Mountain (1983) - terrible!
So do I. I did a marathon once of Jim Carrey's filmography. I had some pleasant and unpleasant surprises. :D I also did this when I had a crush on an actress.

It's probably nostalgia. I love christmas music, not in November though.
O Holy Night makes me tear up almost every time.
