Eh?
Heart Shaped Box - Nirvana
7.5/10
I finally watched it last week, bringing S01 in one night & was very impressed. 8.5/10
Immediately started on S02, but it was a bit of a struggle, as the plot took quite a bit of a detour from S01. It did regain focus the last two episodes & finished strong. 6.5/10. If the direction of the last two episodes had been the basis of S02, I'd rate it higher.
I wonder what the story for S03 will be? (if there is a S03)
The epic chase scene between Popeye Doyle & Nicoli in The French Connection (1971)
It's been a while since I've seen it, but I remember liking it at the time.
7.5/10

"Going forward...." is the one that really irks me, especially when it's used more than once in a statement, even more so when it's used in a passive-aggressive way.

Was I right, or was I right?
And this also raises the question:
Are they going to start applying "content advisorys" like this to, say Breaking Bad, because of its depiction of Latinos as meth dealers?
How about "Once Upon A Time in America" for its depiction of Jewish involvement in the Mafia?
"Gangs of New York" for its depiction of the Irish?
I can't recall, but what, exactly, did his OG account get banned for? Anything specific?

They've just added a content advisory warning. A lot of films have these. Most films I watch on streaming

The specific & opinionated language of this particular disclaimer does go a bit beyond the usual general content warnings-

This film includes language and/or cultural stereotypes that are inconsistent with today’s standards of inclusion and tolerance and may offend some viewers," the warning read.

You gotta admit, the part I highlighted in bold goes beyond the pale for a standard content advisory.

P.S. - this might be better off on the politics board.😎
I thought they should've gone more with the plot of the last 2 episodes of S02 as the basis for the entire season, instead of all the multiple locations, etc crap. Separating Alan's story was a misfire as well.
It did finish strong, but S02 could've been so much better without all the detours it took.
What shall we do now? How can life on MC go on without him? There's no more meaning in life now!!!

😄😄😄🤐🤐🤐
Yes, it does take an interesting turn towards the end of the 2cd to last episode, and because of what happens towards the end of it, sets up some interesting "Being John Malkovich"-like scenarios for the finale.
Indeed!😎
The film seems to have been forgotten about in recent times though. Has never been released on DVD/BluRay.
And as I understand it, the version that circulated in the 80's & 90's on VHS is not the same as what was shown in theaters back in 1969.
There's a whole thread about it here, from the old IMDb boards.
