I watched "The Guyver" (1991) years ago and didn't enjoy it that much, so I never followed-up on the sequels, anime, etc. "Guyver: Dark Hero" sounds interesting, though! I'll have to check it out. “Edge of Tomorrow” is based on a Japanese “light novel” called “All You Need Is Kill”. I wasn’t sure if that could be classified as manga, as it’s basically a book with some manga illustrations in it. Agreed. It took him forever to rummage around in his foot and get the glass out. I think the intention was for it to be disturbing since it was his payback for his rape / "penetration" of the girl. All of the deaths were symbolic. Like the guy who turned a blind eye to the rape getting his eyes stabbed out.
