Did they do this for all people? Or just a "select" group? How did they make money? No, their mother died first. He had abandoned them. he showed up later after they were living with Drummond. Exactly what I said. Willis was ungrateful and gave nothing but attitude. What was his problem? Would he rather have gone to foster care? People didn't melt down over things like that back then. The character who said it was from a time when racism was considered "normal" and he was speaking as a product of his time. Anyway, if a version of this movie was made exactly the same, except using an all-black cast, and the "bad guy" character said, "Cracker" or "honkey" nobody would care. And don't give me the "it's not the same" bullshit. When racist black people say it about white people, is is meant in the same hostile way. Yes, he would be a completely incompetent man. Clueless and Maggie would always have to save the day. If you had to go there, I did know a black man named "Ben" at one time. Does "Kristy" count as "Chrissy"? *I think* all of them were still living at home at that point. If I remember correctly, Mike had an apartment above their garage or something like that. But you are right, I don't think Luke would be needed. A lot of times, i just find the addition of new characters annoying. I know sometimes it is needed for story purposes (like a kid having a girlfriend/boyfriend) but usually when it is a "family addition", they are just annoying. Yes, I could see Dylan catching the kids quickly. Even without that, with almost instant notification to parents that the kids are not there, it makes it a lot more difficult to sneak out and get away with it. Add to that, a lot of schools also have security now to try to get around. I guess whatever organization Dylan worked for might have paid his basic travel expenses. But I can't see Dylan being happy going from a luxury hotel to the Budget Motor Inn. One other thing I didn't like about the new show - both Brenda and Kelly still seemed hung up on him, and he still seemed to be wavering. I would rather have seen both of them having told him to take a hike and in decent, happy relationships. How would he be involved? He is too old to play a cop still on the force. Don't forget to add that the immigrant kid will be here illegally and will repeatedly state how he "spits on this country" and will declare his loyalty to the country he "fled from" due to "oppression" there. Anyone who objects will be portrayed as completely stupid and bigoted for saying he/she should go home if that is how they feel. I forgot - Mike will be shown as completely incompetent, as will the boys. Carol, Alice and the girls will be the only intelligent, capable people. Was he drafted? I thought he signed up on his own, after (supposedly) graduating college. Which brings another question: Why was Jenny still in college when Forrest had (supposedly) graduated and was in the army? I will add I could not stand the others either. But I'd also add Emily Valentine. She was weird even when she was not a psycho. And judgemental Claire. Truthfully, i think almost all of them had their unlikable moments, though some a lot more than others. Like Brenda trying to say her friends were "no different" and /or "no more spoiled" than other kids. Yeah, Brenda. Kids all over the US never work a day through high school. And drive Corvettes, BMWs, Porches, etc. And buy $300 jeans on a regular basis. And live in a three-bedroom apartment on the beach while in college, paid for my mommy and daddy. Take 6-week summer trips to France. And have trust funds.
Marchette conducted a plot to plant a car-bomb under Jack McKay's vehicle.
Except that we find out later Jack is alive. Tony never killed him.
After the honeymoon phase of the relationship fizzles, Jesse and Andrea do nothing but argue over how to raise their baby, Hannah.
This happened because AHHHdnrea thought it should be all about her and what she wanted. She felt that she should make all the decisions and he should have no say.
Coming from the wrong side of the tracks, Ray was already insecure about hobnobbing with the rich kids.
They had an attitude about him from the start. Remember when they all automatically assumed it was him stealing their stuff? Nothing had disappeared until Val's friend showed up, but since she seemed to be "in their league", not one person suspected her. They just assumed it must be the working class guy. (Of course we found out it was Val's scheme, but stil. He was the one they suspected automatically.)
Straight up, when you get the queen of 90210, Kelly Taylor, addicted to cocaine, you better be among the most hated side characters of all!
Kelly got herself addicted. She was alone when she rolled up the check and made the decision to snort the coke. She could have just flushed it.
Brought to L.A. as an ice-skating cousin of Donna Martin (supposedly), Gina instantly makes enemies in Beverly Hills.
What I couldn't stand was how pathetic she was. Dylan made it clear he didn't care about her, and yet she stayed with him. She had a chance to be with David, who actually did care for her. But she chose to go back to Dylan and be his doormat. The only time I felt a little bad for her was when we found out Donna's father was her father, and he just let her live a miserable life. A lot of this I either forgot or was not watching (for both shows) by the time a lot of this happened. As for continuity, if you go along with the "world" of the new series, I would like to know how Dylan was supporting himself years later. He was an absentee father, that was established on the show. I believe Kelly said he was a "do gooder" or something like that, but I don't think they ever explained what he did. It did seem he had means to travel though. I really hope that IF they did remake it, they would not include the singing. Or more accurately, they would have then rapping. And I don't want to see that. When did we ever see him killing? The only time they showed his troop in battle was when they were attacked, and he ran. It doesn't really matter when Jenny found out she had AIDS. Back then, it went undetected for a long time. If she already had it, she would have given it to Forrest and her child. I don't think this would have mattered to her, given the type of person she was. I think she continued her "open to the public" policy when it came to her legs after sleeping with Forrest, and I doubt she even really knew who the father was. It was only after she got sick that she wanted someone she knew would take care of her, so she went back to him. If she had never gotten sick, she never would have contacted him unless she needed something. What types of jobs did members of the Black Panthers have back then? Not only that, but when she went through her high school year book, and was prom queen, they looked the same.
