Hey bobbydallas good top 3...this of course has me wondering if you saw the new one yet?
Hey SoCrates....not too far off...the Top 4 is the same. Just saw 2018....pretty good...I think John Carpenter would be proud of all the call backs. Thanks for your rankings.
I knew he was in Gunsmoke....but yet to see a single episode of that classic show. I have heard Burt interviews where he praised that show as his "big break". Rest in Peace.
Sharing Machine sounds like it could be interesting....lol.
Our ranking system looks at box office, reviews (critics and audiences) and awards. If you rank the movies by reviews...Sharkey's Machine has a spot in the Top 10...while The Longest Yard (reboot) can't crack the Top 30.

I agree it was bad....but it was his 6th biggest hit of his most stellar box office career. Falls into the category of "Bad Blockbuster"...the above rankings were based on overall movie stats....if you rank his movies by reviews from audiences and critics..The Longest Yard is ranked 31st of 67 movies.
Hey Slimone....all six of his Bond movies are in the Top 17....with 4 of them in the Top 10. As for Zardos, it has the 45th spot wrapped up....but that movie has become a cult classic over the years.
Clerks.
Just naming the movie and the year it was made.
My favorite movies would be called
1. Pulping Fiction
2. Raiders of the Lost Arking
3. Jawsing
4. Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kiding.
5. North by Northwesting
6. Psychoing
7. 12 Monkeying
8. Star Warsing
Yep....knocking on the door of the Top 25.
Hey hownos....The Room sits in 35,659 place in our database. Means 1,273 movies are ranked worse in our database. Over the last few years it's review approval from audiences has actually risen dramatically....still rated a bad movie....but it used to be rated a horrible movie. On a scale of 0 (lowest) to 100 (highest).....The Room has a Ultimate Movie Ranking (UMR) score of 3.21. Before the audience reviews increased so much it was under 1.00. I guess the power of playing football in tuxedos is catching on.
Thanks for checking out my Top 25 Statistically Speaking.
Hey Moonglum....Ghoulies just missed the Top25....only missing it by 21,207 spots.

It's infamous Oscar snub for Best Picture hurt the movie's score. Too bad "Most Popular Movie" was not an Oscar category decade ago....has it really been 10 years since The Dark Knight?
Dark Knight stats from our database (out of 36,842 movies)
35th biggest domestic box office hit of all-time (using adjusted grosses)
50th biggest worldwide box office hit of all-time (using adjusted grosses)
36th best reviewed movie of all-time (critics and audiences).....has not been updated lately
Hey snepts....I like to think we are mature adults....we started doing these rankings in 2011.....and our website has grown very nicely over the years. You are so right.....like any list.....they are made to be argued with ....lol......so indeed "your results my vary".
Hey actionkamen.....the category is "Statistically Speaking"....so it was ranked by the stats of the movie. From Lawrence of Arabia to Kirk Cameron's Saving Christmas (our lowest rated movie).
As for the differences....most of the top movies were box office smashes....so they max out the box office point category.....reviews are different for every movie.....and the reviews are from "professional" and "amateur" critics....so it causes a difference between Ben-Hur and American Beauty when looking at a movie "statistically"
The Top 10 are actually pretty much tied with a perfect score of 100 in our system....10 movies out of close to 37,000 movies....not too bad.
The basis of our ranking system is what a person wants to accomplish if they produced a movie. The first thing they would want would be for the movie to be successful at the box office. Secondly, they would like the critics AND moviegoers to enjoy their movie. And finally they would like their movie to receive award recognition through Golden Globe® and Oscar® ceremonies at the end of the year. Over the years we have tweaked our forumla....and have over the years de-emphasized the box office...and increased the review %.
So a movie like Minions killed at the box....got no love....and received lukewarm reviews sits in 3,278th place while The Revenant....was a box office hit......was loved by critics.....liked by audiences....and won some major Oscars....so it sits in 219th place.
Our rankings are not perfect, but when he look at individual performers....it does make the cream rise to the top. Currently we are read in 240 countries.
47% reviews....35% box office......18% awards (Oscars/GoldenGlobes)
The Dark Knight currently sits in 205th place....ahead of 36,637 movies.
