I actually loved this movie and in fact I remember when the original was released (way back in 1996 when I was 20 or 21, I think I seen it in the theater) and I loved that one too. I can't see why most of the people here are hating on it so hard. It's got a lot of the same feel as the original. Incount it as canon and would welcome the possible sequel they're hinting at.

According to the novelization the red dress (which she wore to the ruins) was also "borrowed" from Gustav.
