That was Girl Happy. That was when they went down to Fort Lauderdale to keep an eye on this gangster's daughter. Shelley Fabares played the girl. That was a good movie. Yeah, I liked the mini-series. I also liked the one where Kurt Russell played Elvis. It was a 1979 TV movie. Good movie. Kurt Russell did a great job. The one with the homesteaders is Follow That Dream. The movie was okay. I love the song. Great song. Floyd was in that one. He works in the bank they think Elvis is trying to rob. I liked how Elvis acts like a dumb hillbilly in the movie, but in the end, you find out he's not so dumb when he outsmarts one of the villains in court. Floyd was also in Blue Hawaii and Fun in Acapulco. Was the movie about Elvis being a struggling musician in color or black and white? I noticed Turner Classic Movies isn't showing one of his movies. They decided to make it Miriam Hopkins Day. Today was the day we lost Elvis. They should be showing his movies. I can't believe its been 41 years. I still have my collection. I watched King Creole before. Right now I'm watching Roustabout. Stay with you? I wish I could stay with them. They lost me a long time ago. Body of Evidence was very kinky with a lot of nudity. I also didn't think her acting was that good in it. She won me over in Dick Tracy. I remember the scene in Dick Tracy when they're on the dock and she's trying to tell him how much she wants him and she wants him to admit he wants her too and he won't. snepts (97), I read she's Italian on her father's side. On her mother's side, she's French-Canadian. We're definitely on the same page. I agree with everything you just said. I too, won't listen to that album knowing where he recorded it. It's like going to Nicole Brown's house and recording music where she was murdered with Ron Goldman. Or it's like going to the top of the Texas observatory tower with a guitar and writing songs from where Charles Whitman, the Texas Sniper, shot everyone from. It's far-fetched that he's even going to escape from the asylum, but won't they be expecting him over in good old Haddonfield? The freakin National Guard should be waiting there for him. I mean come on. Maybe Michael Myers can fly in this one. Maybe he escapes and flies to Haddonfield instead of driving. Or maybe he can teleport. Was he really furious that he lost? I didn't see Bobby Darin's performance in Captain Newman, M.D. , but I did see the movie Hud and Melvyn Douglas only had one great scene in the whole movie. That was it. I didn't know you could win an Oscar for one scene. I'll have to check Darin's performance out. In the movie, when Sandra Dee says something about Melvyn Douglas dying, I think Bobby Darin says, "He's dying? I'm the one dying! Way before he was dying, I was dying." I'm curious now if this was true. She does work well with a lot of guys. I thought she had good chemistry with Stallone in Demolition Man. But I didn't think she had good chemistry at all with Ben Affleck in Forces of Nature. I thought she went well with Matthew McConaughey though in A Time to Kill. As far as having the best chemistry, I'd have to say Sandra Bullock and Keanu Reeves. They tried to bring Carpenter back to direct Halloween Resurrection and I heard he laughed at them. I don't think he's emotionally involved with Halloween anymore. Not for turning down directing Resurrection, but I really just don't think his heart is in Halloween anymore. Why, after all these years, he's returned to produce and do the score for this movie, I don't know. They even brought back Nick Castle, the same actor from the very first Halloween to play Michael Myers. I don't know what it all means. Maybe this will be the last one.
Yes, if it was any other director I would be okay with this film. But Tarantino is a sensationalist and I strongly doubt he's going to give this horrific event the sensitivity it actually deserves.
Couldn't have said it better myself. Tarantino is sick. Not only are his movies sick, but even the movies he produces. He has the nerve to put his name on the sick, vile, crazy, depraved, disgusting movies that degenerate Eli Roth has made. That alone says something. Joanna Pettet did look like her. What an uncanny resemblance. I wish they would've got someone better than Margot Robbie. To me, she's not a good choice. She doesn't do the role justice. She doesn't look like her or come across as her. And like I said, there's no comparison. Sharon Tate is miles above her. I hope, for once, Tarantino shows some class and some sensitivity and doesn't show her murder in graphic fashion. For everyone's sake. You're absolutely right about Trent Reznor. He should be ashamed. I'm glad Sharon's sister gave him a piece of her mind. She said, "Are you exploiting my sister's death by living in her house?" He said he went home and cried that night. I read somewhere that Rob Zombie has some kind of obsession with the The Tate-Labianca Murders. What is wrong with these guys? I'm not expecting anything great. I don't know what else they can do really. How is he going to escape this time? He escaped the first time because nobody wanted to listen to Loomis. You would think they'd be more cautious this time. Last time he escaped, he went to Haddonfield and nobody knew he was coming. If he escapes and goes to Haddonfield, they will be ready for him. I really don't know how they can do this. If they just had him vanishing after the first one instead of being captured, it would be different. Nobody would know where he is or when or where he's coming from if he returns. People think the movie JFK is 100% true. Like you can take everything they say to the bank. I can understand her having a vendetta with him and being haunted by the whole experience. For all we know, Laurie could have PTSD in this movie. He killed all of her friends and he almost killed her. I always tell people that the ending to Halloween is not a happy ending. It's sad. Not just because Michael Myers gets away, but because when you see Laurie sobbing in the end, you realize that even though she survived, nothing will ever be the same again. She'll never be the same again. Halloween II (TV version) had a happy ending. Michael is clearly dead. She shot his eyes out and he gets incinerated. You watch him burn in the end. Then you see Laurie holding hands with Jimmy in the ambulance, indicating that they will end up together and that she has a chance at having a normal life. CodyXBrenda came up with the best title. Halloween: The Night He Returned Home is a great title. I hope they change the title of the movie before it comes out because they're not using their heads. People will see Halloween and they'll say, "Oh, another stupid remake. No thank you." A remake? Maybe. But I can't see Gyllenhaal in the part. It's a shame Robin Williams is no longer with us. I could've seen him in the part. Michael Douglas' character died in the end. It was a shame. His character was like Travis Bickle, but Bickle survived in the end and amusingly he was hailed as a hero. Everyone he had run-ins with in Falling Down always seemed to have it coming. P.S. If this movie ever was remade, I would make some changes. One of them would be the title. Yeah, they're ignoring all the sequels. According to this movie, Michael Myers got captured after Loomis shot him. How the hell did he get captured? I feel like it takes away from John Carpenter's Halloween. His ending was perfect. It was chilling and haunting. The way Loomis goes to the window and sees that he's gone was such a great ending. It should've stopped there. I loved her in Somebody Up There Likes Me. It's funny, James Dean was supposed to play Ricky Graziano. James and Pier would've played husband and wife. Really?
