The moderators, to their credit, called out the former president on some of his wildest claims, including his assertion that migrants were eating Americans' pets in Springfield, Ohio.

Nah. Argued with moderators. Didn't answer questions.
Example, replying on climate change Trump uses his minute to respond, saying manufacturing jobs are going abroad. "They are building big auto plants in Mexico, in many cases owned by China."
Towards the end of his answer, he starts talking about "him and his son" and their history with Ukraine. He doesn't talk about climate change.

Why do the USA media count total medals won, where as the rest of the planet base the leaders on number of gold won, followed by silver and bronze to rank those with equal gold.
I know USA would still currently be on top, but is it to ensure the USA stay on top for almost the entirety of the games?
