This post was deleted because it was a Tiger Shark
He was great. Every time he came on I kept thinking I recognize him, but couldn't put my finger on it. Then when I saw his name in the credits, I still couldn't put it together until I rewound the movie.
13. and Jeremy Piven
I hadn't seen Entourage before my first viewing of season 4.
Damnit! I haven't seen Titanic yet. Thanks alot. HURRUMPH!
I'll put my 2cents into it.
The dark humor puts a lot of people off. I love that kind of humor, so I was pleasantly surprised when I watched it.
That being said, I felt the movie was trying to portray Anna Kendrick's character as the lead, while Sam Rockwell's character was for more interesting.
One of the scariest parts of the series is that as evil as she is, she is the only one who cares for the handmaids.
I loved it as a kid, and these days I watch it with my son and he loves it too.
Things I noticed more as an adult and didn't pay much attention as a kid:
1) Julie Newmar
2) Season 3 is pretty bad (Yes even the Surfing competition between Batman and Joker).
3) Julie Newmar
43 in two weeks. Here's my take:
I'm very much in the middle here. I didn't love, but far from hated. I'll need a second viewing.
The visuals were very good.
I'm not against what they did to Luke, it was an interesting direction. That being said, what was the purpose of killing him off?
One thing I found annoying was that there were too many light/comedic moments that distracted from the story. They're always there in StarWars, but here there were just too many of them, and ill-timed, in my opinion.
Laura Dern's character was pointless. She was too similar to Leia. They could have had someone else sacrifice themselves.
While some points of yours are valid, I have to wonder if you took a pad and pen with you into the theater.
signs of the virus dumbing us down
I'm a bit late to the party, but I'll put in my comments anyway. The way I see it:
1)In the beginning Coleman didn't like Winthorp.
2) After Winthorp comes to the house with Ophelia and Coleman turns him, Coleman realizes how serious the situation is and what's happening to Winthorp. He starts to regret.
3) When Valentine brings Winthorp back home after trying to kill himself, does Coleman try to make ammends and helps at the end with his life savings.
Denholm Elliott was excellent in this.
Here is my two cents worth (This is coming from someone who did not read the books):
1) The plot was not interesting nor original, and they tried to cram too much mess into too little time. There was very little back story.
2) The characters lacked depth. Apart from the gunslinger (and this was barely), I really didn't care for anyone. When the Man in Blacked
killed the kid's mom
, I really didn't care. Also could the kid's douchebag of a stepdad be any more cliché?
3) The bad guy was completely flat. A movie is only as good as it's antagonist.
4) Apart from idris elba, I felt that casting was wrong.
5) The acting was not good. When everyone is not acting well, that points to bad directing, IMO.
6) Some of the FX were good, other's were laughable.
I think their biggest fear is from the domino effect, that other countries might do the same.
