Russian Avengers or Russian Justice League?
I saw it also at Wal-Mart but will only buy it if there was a Blue Ray version.
Not true.
Branding supersedes the all black cast for Black Panther. There is a decidedly valuable Box office base for Marvel movies overseas.
BP being already introduced in Civil War was a way to get the movie on the radar for overseas audiences that saw Civil War.
The trailer(s) have done a good job of creating interest and the trailers do not hide the mostly black characters but make an effort to showcase two Tolkien white characters in the opening narrative. Additionally shots in Korea do an excellent job of extending the invitation to view to an Asian audience.
I remember those non-halcyon days of IMDB. It is one of the reasons that IMDB message boards are defunct. Civil discussions and movie debate became way too personal and movie discourse gave way to petty clan bashing. A few personalities dominated too much of the air and just as you said those parasitic few hopped from board to board with their delusional venom.
Was it at all possible that the Warner/DC audience for their films and their way of portraying their characters was smaller than they realized and not as accepted as they believed? Hardcore comic book fans are not the wide swath of the general mass media audiences. That especially holds true for Overseas. Why would the Fast and the Furious do so well? They are essentially superheroes that no one knew anything about. Cars and action translates most cultures and languages.
WB/DC fancies that their film products are love letters to their loyal fans. I beg to differ and they continue to craft a product for a limited few and claim that it is art and visionary. WB/DC hasn't found a mass audience beyond their Frank Miller fantasies.
BvS is and was loved by a select few and that isn't a debate.
Very enjoyable movie!
Well said. Well said. Well said.
Now that T:R has finally been released in the USA it looks like there needs to be a recalibration as to the MCU's downward slide. :-) Still you had a very interesting pre-release evaluation of the movie.
