The arab and african populations in Europe have significantly gone up in the past 10 years. At one point in a year France and Italy were receiving thousands of illegal immigrants a day for months on end.

I don't know what part of Europe you're from, but in most of the Western world, most dads wouldn't just sit there in their car waiting to pick up their highschool age daughter from detention while she's making out with some unknown boy - especially it being in the '80s.
