Which is why I avoided Rob Zombie's Halloween II like the plague. The only reason I own that movie is because it's part of the box set.
I'm eagerly awaiting Halloween (2018) and so should you, or you're not a real fan.
I concur. A fucking shame. He was an SNL legend. Also great on NewsRadio, The Simpsons, Jingle All the Way and Houseguest. His SNL characters and impersonations are iconic.

I agree. MovieChat is the best successor to IMDb. I do like IMDF (another IMDb copycat), but what it's missing are:
a) the original IMDB posts archived (though I did archive as much as I could, before I discovered MovieChat)
b) individual boards
MovieChat is the IMDb boards had they not closed. Just like David Letterman is Johnny Carson's true successor.
I'm angry about Polanski, but not for the same reasons. Without condoning the deed, Polanski is indeed a national treasure and nothing is gonna stop me from saying, "You know what? Rosemary's Baby is on right now. Or Chinatown. Or The Pianist. Why don't I watch it?" Just let it go.
Rosemary's Baby is enough to make me forgive him. What the artist did isn't going to stop me from enjoying the art. I'll still watch a Weinstein movie (especially if it's Tarantino). I'll still watch the Naked Gun movies. I'll still watch Kevin Spacey's movies (I still think he's innocent, myself). Not too long ago I watched Annie Hall on TCM for the first time and loved it. I think Woody's innocent, too.
Whatever happened to "innocent until proven guilty"? Whatever happened to "forgive and forget"? What happens to #MeToo, #TimesUp, etc. if any accusations are proven false (such as pop singer Melanie Martinez back in December)?
I guess I'm more forgiving than most people. But seriously, he made Rosemary's Baby, Chinatown, and The Pianist, and this is the thanks he gets? Cosby and Weinstein are one thing, Polanski is another.

The Halloween 9 score was going to be written by Elton John.

It's not always about the voice. Look at Bob Dylan in that regard.
Also, Kurt was a pretty good guitarist, not like Hendrix, Page, Clapton, SRV or Eddie Van Halen, but that's not the point. He had some memorable riffs ("Smells Like Teen Spirit," "In Bloom," "Heart Shaped Box," "All Apologies").
Nirvana was a great band, way ahead of their time.
If you missed your chance to grab the limited-edition Steelbook last month, you're in luck. Synapse will be releasing their restoration in a much wider run. The date is set for March 13.
There's a DVD (which is pretty barebones), a single-disc Blu-ray (again, barebones), and the crème de la crème if you can't get the Steelbook... a two-disc special edition with everything that the Steelbook had, except for the Goblin soundtrack CD and the Steelbook artwork.
The 2-disc has reversible artwork with the original white figure/red blood on side side and Scream Factory-style artwork on the flipside.
