Hahaha!!! It tells in the comments. Lamb (1985)? https://imdb.com/title/tt0091375 Lamb (1985 film) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lamb_(1985_film) I LOVE the futuristic city known as The City. A GREAT scene in a GREAT film. No, I've seen that. Thanks for your reply though. Bump. "My guess is that it's most probably an 80s movie or tv episode" YES, I believe it's PROBABLY MOST-LIKELY SO. No, it's NOT Starman (1984) NOR its tv-series. http://imdb.com/search/title?colors=color&genres=sci_fi&languages=en&release_date=1981,1987&title_type=feature,tv_movie,tv_series&page=1&ref_=adv_prv < THANKS for this list!!! I'll go through it later... "526 titles but I'm sure the number is much smaller (it can't be an animation)." NO, NOT animation. Live-action. I KNOW it's a vocoder because I happen to own one (Roland SVC-350 Vocoder) and it sounds JUST like one (such as the EMS Vocoder 2000 used for the Cylon Centurions in 'Battlestar Galactica'; the Sennheiser Vocoder VSM201 used by Mr. Neil Young for his 'Trans' album; either of the Bode 7702 Vocoder or the Moog 16-Channel 327A MBVO Vocoder; a Synton Syntovox Vocoder: 202, 222, 221 or SPX-216; the Roland VP-330 Vocoder Plus, Mk1 or Mk2; or the Roland SVC-350 Vocoder). It DOESN'T sound like any other type of voice-changer. The film or tv-film, tv-series episode, tv miniseries, tv special, tv pilot would've been first shown on tv (or at the theatre) no earlier than 1976 and shown on tv no later than April 1993. I believe it to MOST-LIKELY to be between 1983-6. Bump.
