It was a show about little things; these little things were mundane concepts of life that get spun out of control due to character's hang ups about dealing with said concepts.
I feel the opposite lol. I always tried to hold Alien and Aliens as equally good but differing cinematic achievements. Simultaneously I had a voice in my head telling me the original was the superior movie, until recently I honestly favor the sequel a little more instead. I think it's because the themes and human drama speak to me more so than in the original.
It's dumb that people love insulting and exaggerating same-level mistakes in the sequels but JP 1 is always the exception.
Thanks!
The standard enemies in the game Resident Evil 7 I think are based on the tarman zombie.
I found the score to stand out in a low-key, brooding sort of way. Quietly disturbing.
That seems like it's some sort of omen, sure.
But as for Kubrick himself I think he intended her to look like his own daughter because he was planning on releasing a behind-the-scenes documentary that would have a meta-commentary about the film in it, filmed by Vivian. All just like what the two did with The Shining's behind-the-scenes documentary.
Not trying to brag, but I first saw it when I was 3 and just enjoyed it. But I was a weird kid; as an adult I've come back to other movies and been like "This didn't scare me as a kid? The F was wrong with me?"
Interesting, thanks!
Can't believe I never noticed! Could be symbolic foreshadowing; not only of Tina's death but the revelation of the whole series of events being Nancy's dream given that we first hear her screams as something the audience is to recognize as not real.
