This is one of our rules in the Community Standards:
Content that incites hatred against, promotes discrimination of, or disparages an individual or group on the basis of their race or ethnic origin, religion, disability, age, nationality, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, or other characteristic that is associated with systemic discrimination or marginalization
Flaming these large groups of people is also against the rules.
Flaming individual members is personal, and is against our rules. Criticizing, without flaming, isn't.
There is a lot of flaming going on about politics, for example, where members name-call and disparage various parties and leaders. This also happens on boards about actors. That is not personal, and we have no rule against it, although we would prefer everyone remain civil. As Mod5 iterated, we do our best to keep a light hand in moderating here. A line has to be drawn somewhere, or it'd become overbearing.
