I’ve seen Old Dads, it was ok.
The other two I’ve never heard of or seen but apparently they are both good so let’s gooooooooo
Great band. Ignition, Smash, and Ixnay on the Hombre were 9/10 albums. Americana had good tracks but some questionable ones, too.
Overall, they are pretty great.
Cursed Bastards (2011)
You Won't Be Alone (2022)
Witching and Bitching (2013)
El Conde (2023)

The Vourdalak (2023)
The Prophecy (1995)
The Serpent and the Rainbow (1988)

Wait, you have one of those 1830s mowers??
That's pretty fucking cool lol.
Idle Hands (1999)
I only wear a light jacket in the winter -- if anything at all -- because it doesn’t get very cold out here, but I have a long, heavy London Fog topcoat for when I’m traveling. I never considered what you’re describing, but it can be a pain getting in and out of a cab or Uber with it.
When I’ve traveled in Europe, I take the metro everywhere, so it’s not an issue. I wonder if this is why long topcoats on men in the U.S. are uncommon? The getting in and out of cars thing? Maybe it’s because we use cars so much, and coats are already so inconvenient -- adding a long and heavy coat makes it even more cumbersome. 🤔
He really did kill it in this role. I would occasionally have to remind myself, wait, that's Colin Farrell, and not just because of the makeup, but of course, that too.
I'd wager Farrell, Milioti, and the Makeup team will all be nominated.
He got his ass handed to him in so many 80s and 90s action movies I think we can let this one slide.

You make a fair point about the reference to Disney, but I think we’re approaching this from different angles. While there’s a mention of media, the post doesn’t really analyze or discuss Disney’s actions as they pertain to media trends, creative decisions, or the entertainment industry. Instead, it uses Disney’s decision as a springboard for a broader social and cultural critique that dips heavily into charged rhetoric:

the overwhelming vote for trump seems to indicate to corporations that the majority of americans don't want to think about transsexuals anymore.

Regarding your hypothetical about "guys kissing," my response would be the same if the post veered into charged language and broader cultural commentary about which presidential candidate people are voting for -- or focusing on politics -- instead of focusing on the media itself.
If the post genuinely analyzed how depictions of same-sex couples or transgender individuals in media are being received and what that means for storytelling, then yes, I’d consider it fitting for GD.
However, that’s clearly not the case here.
Dude, I totally understand wanting to grow the site, but you have to understand that trans issues -- no matter how you feel about them -- cannot be separated from Politics in the current political environment. You do get that, right?
Also, I’m not sure that posting politically charged topics in GD helps grow the site. In fact, I’d argue it pushes away people who are looking to discuss movies, pop culture, entertainment, and similar topics.
Stuff like this shouldn't be censored; no way should it, but it really does belong on the politics board.
Not necessary.
