okay i will try and answer some of your ? as i just finished this show as well.
To actual kill a werewolf you must decapitate it otherwise it comes back as that sick lost between human/werewolf thing. So that is why christina's neck was broken and she died but came back to life because she wasn't decapitated and why shelley ripped her head off to actually kill her. If you remember at the very beginning of the show they had peters uncle that died strung up from a tree and cut his head off so that he wouldn't come back as that sick werewolf. It has a proper name i just can't remember.
To kill an upir you have to get it right in the heart, and both norman and annie use weapons tipped with heparin a blood thinner to make the upir bleed profusely.
The reason olivia does take forever to recover i think is because she is sick and has cancer. Im sure there was an explanation for how the upir cancer is acquired just can't remember.
And yes you are right, peter will be a beast forever because he turned too many times against the moon and he was warned you turn when its not a full moon one more time you will stay a wolf, him being a fully white wolf instead of his usual black color represents this transformation.
Ya i just couldn't get behind that whole thing with shelley and him, he was just waaaay to old it was creepy. When the series started shelley was in high school with roman so im assuming she is definitely under 18.
