Just finished the whole thing and have some thing I dont understand.

Firs off I was wondering if Werewolfs and Upir's can be killed in normal ways.
I mean in the first season, Peter gets his faced ripped off but comes back no problem.
So I was thinking Werewolfs can't be killed but then peter simply gets stabbed and bitten and barely survives.

Christina gets her neck broke seems dead then comes back but gets decapitated which did the trick so wasnt quite sure why they had her come back at all.

Opirs seem strong at first surviving bullets no problem but Olivia gets bitten and tongue torn out, takes ages to recover then gets dam cancer!! (WTF) plus how did she get infected with that weird disease in the 3rd season.

Roman simply falls out a window and is *beep* while Annie is saying you need this special thing to kill him, obviously not.

Shelly seems the most damage resistant, getting shot twice with a shot gun taking down a werewolf and has super strengh.

Also didnt understand when Roman said Peter will be a beast forever, I'm taking it he didnt wait until a full moon but Christina could change back and forth at will.

I just hate inconsistencies.

Your questions are all good ones. These inconsistencies (there are many more) are undoubtedly why this deeply flawed show was cancelled.

okay i will try and answer some of your ? as i just finished this show as well.

To actual kill a werewolf you must decapitate it otherwise it comes back as that sick lost between human/werewolf thing. So that is why christina's neck was broken and she died but came back to life because she wasn't decapitated and why shelley ripped her head off to actually kill her. If you remember at the very beginning of the show they had peters uncle that died strung up from a tree and cut his head off so that he wouldn't come back as that sick werewolf. It has a proper name i just can't remember.
To kill an upir you have to get it right in the heart, and both norman and annie use weapons tipped with heparin a blood thinner to make the upir bleed profusely.

The reason olivia does take forever to recover i think is because she is sick and has cancer. Im sure there was an explanation for how the upir cancer is acquired just can't remember.

And yes you are right, peter will be a beast forever because he turned too many times against the moon and he was warned you turn when its not a full moon one more time you will stay a wolf, him being a fully white wolf instead of his usual black color represents this transformation.
