LOL! "looks like a fish". But, I like the guy as an actor. He's been placed in a tough position, and I'm willing to suspend my disbelief for this show, at least. Maybe he'll have taken some more lessons and look a bit better in "The Defenders"...or, maybe he'll be wearing a mask, and they can hire a fight double for him.
Hopefully, they'll get a life. But, in the meantime, we have an "ignore button" to use while they go find that life.
He'll screw up something major and get impeached.
If it's a Shane Black film, I'm guessing he'll try to keep that spirit!
Angel rocked!
I agree!
The advantage that the Matrix folks had besides Reeves naturally "moving well" and I believe Moss has a dance background - or at least studied "movement in college. Fishburne was a bit stiffer - but, given that he's older than the others, I'll give him a pass. But, if you watch the BTS making of, they had a LOT of prep time for the choreography. Reeves is actually wearing a neck brace in one interview, he worked so hard. Moss, I believe was injured doing wire work. But, a film generally has more production time than a television series. And you're correct about Jason Scott. He's a dancer and I believe a surfer as well.
The character of Danny Rand is supposed to be a martial arts master. And to see a guy who looks like he's in a level 1 karate class move around is slightly embarrassing. He looks worse than David Carradine. But, most of those scenes were shot in slow-mo. Again, if they used "under-cranking" it may have made Finn's fight scenes look tighter. But, that's not the look they were going for, cinematic-ally I guess.
To everyone, basically.
Well, he should make a good movie and it will rate higher than the usual stuff he hacks out.
Maybe Jake just does it for the art. Not a bad thing!
Maybe Dutch will show up in the new "The Predator" movie.
I have high hopes for Ferguson. I was hoping she'd land the "Captain Marvel" role that went to Bree Larson. But, I think she'll end up in in the MCU or DCU at some point. Gyllenhaal really doesn't perform well at the box office. He's a fine actor...just can't make a movie that scores at the box office it seems.
I love the "What about a WHITE SHAFT"? Argument. Sure, they could make a white version of Shaft, he'd be any white, hard boiled detective. He wouldn't speak "ebonically" (I don't believe "John Shaft" did either...). He could curse, bed women, do all of the things that ANY hard boiled private eye did. He's be "Mike Hammer". No big deal there.

Yeah, Sturgess has turned out to be a dud rather than a stud. Maybe he can play a Star Wars villain at some point?
Understandable. But, she didn't wear offensive makeup or speak with an offensive accent. She just played the role as her strange self.
Cactus, Swinton played "The Ancient One" in "Doctor Strange", which isn't a remake. "The Ancient One" is an Asian man in the comic book on which the film is based on. She's not "playing Asian". She's just playing a strange character.
" Would you like to see an all White Remake of "Boys in the Hood" with Orlando Bloom? " Sure, they could call it "Rumble Fish"....
This should have been a hit. I own it on dvd. I should upgrade to blu with this.
