"He's just a beekeeper"........ [Spoilers] 2:15 Run? (Haters: Door is that way >> ) [Spoilers] Just saw this last night and have a question. Haters need not apply. Did the actors really know if R. Lee Ermey was going to slap/hit them? Was there ever an explanation about the Black SUV & Picture Memorial? [Spoilers possible] Don't waste your time [Spoiler] About opening sequence question [Spoiler] View all posts >

^^^ Exactly this ^^^ He absolutely did, just look at the mental gymnastics he went through both before he got there and when he was assessing the situation. He knew all the questions to ask that in any given situation would draw attention or worse get them arrested by John Q public officer(s). Things like; does it stall, busted taillight, blinkers all work etc.... anyone under that kind of pressure, any normal or even psycho killers would never think of things like that.... not to mention, the blankets.... no whites... dark to mask the car. In those times, seat covers would be absolutely the norm because of the cheap seats and added comfort. 100%, they got out of that jam... because of the wolf!! It is clearly stated at the time of the accident and at first arrival of the cabin, the toolbag that hit the kid had an accident a few months prior, he was drinking today when he hit the kid, he was on probation for it, and they would fry him for what just happened. So, he just leaves and lets the kid unknowing die thinking all is good... until its not. If you saw it when it was released in 1988, which sounds like..... you didn't, you'd know how terrifying it was at that time.... this was in the times of a nightmare on elm street all all of those slasher films.... the movie stands on its own..... a remake would be sacrilege. My wife and I watch it every halloween, your mileage may vary. After reading a few reviews and boards, and watching it again a few times.... your assessment is right and if you blink you'll miss it, there is a facehugger shown emerging from the nearby pipes when they are face to face implying that some face time about to occur. Still though, try to be realistic, from all we know about the creatures, those tails and splines are razor sharp (shown multiple times hitting steel bars, walls, etc.)... she was free falling probably near terminal velocity and it just "catches" her without any damage? That was a bit tough to believe based on the scene... hell her neck didn't even snapback on the sudden stop. I know it's movie magic and leave reality at the door, but the legacy and dissection of something this silly is what gives the installment (among many other things) a bad showing...in my opinion. Is what it is I guess. Yeah, that one has me stumped too.... their tails are like razor studs and it wrapped around her body like an anaconda and didn't hurt her like all the psycho aliens..... LOL. Not sure what its motivation was there. If you've ever been clubbed, you'd have a welt the size of Texas and probably some ooze and blood too... and it would be noticeable.... the dude hit him pretty good with the bat which is why he was dazed in the tub for a bit until he came to.... I thought it was boring at the beginning, the last 30 is where it picked up. I paused at one point and said... holy shit, I'm half way through this? I give lots of leeway on movies like this as I enjoy the franchise, but I thought afterlife was better than this... the fire guy was annoying, he went from $50 bumbling zero to hero of NYC because he discovered XYZ about his lineage.... it was a good watch one time, doubt I'll be watching it again like the originals... but to each their own. Because the computer models are already built... rinse and repeat... booooooring. Totally agreed, same old shit from Hollyweird. OMG, I actually laughed out loud reading that.... perfect!
