Right, intriguing possibilities and suggestions. I just think that they should have announced this before shutting down the boards. By doing that people would have known that their solution would be only temporary. If they really aim to actually keep message boards but enabling them to be better than they originally were, they should have said so.

Oh, that sounds so depressing! I really get what you mean, but I do hope and think that somebody else will be so frustrated with this situation that they will succeed in creating another boards forum as wide and popular as IMDb was while the boards existed. Is is true that IMDb has got a lot of backlash on social media for closing the bards?

OH, I am sure there will be! If not this one, then I am confident some other will. IMDb2 does look pretty good and so active. But I really love this site because of the similar look and style that the original IMDb had.

An edit button would be a great start to ensure that people will stay. If only I had got wind of this site earlier than I did, I would have tried to advertise it more on IMDb while the boards still existed. .
