April-151-CT's Replies

Like I said, every site I'VE BEEN TO with message boards and comment sections have them. That's the way of The Internet these days... Like it or dislike it 😉 You have time to read a whole discussion, but you don't have the time to simply reply "I agree/don't agree"? Yes, exactly. Again, some people don't live on the internet as much as others do and don't have time to type a reply to every comment on a thread. And then, some people have all the time in the world to do that. Or how about just agreeing with it in silence and moving on? Aaaand, that would be what the like/dislike button will be for. 😉 Also... so trolls and fanboys don't gang up on people if there are no like/dislike button? Ok... So in closing to my end of this conversation, if you don't choose to use the like/dislike buttons when they appear, then simply don't. Dumluk2002---- ::::thumbs up:::: 😉 Yeah but if they're a true mature adult, they won't care. Like I've said above, it's only a big deal if you make it a big deal. Every website that has public comments and public messages has the like/dislike feature. Facebook is but one website in millions that has like buttons. Every website I've come across that has public comments/messaging has the like/dislike function. Like/dislike buttons are not solely on Facebook. They are on nearly every site that has an option for comments/messages. No one said they had to be hidden on here. I'm just stating that ON AMAZON, unpopular comments don't get deleted. People that have genuine interest in the subject will click on the "show all hidden comments" link. People that can't be bothered to read hidden comments are just not interested in them. And again, some people simply don't spend enough time on the internet to be able to reply. It's not a big deal. Because some people spend more time on the internet than others. Some only have time to hit a like for acknowledgement. Some don't have time to comment on every comment they agree or disagree with. Some people have a lot of time on their hands and spend lots of time on the internet. And as far as I know, Facebook is the only site I personally have come across that list the names of the reactees. All other places I've personally seen that have comments all have like and dislike without listing people. And again, it's only a big thing if you make it a big thing. People that don't spend too much time on the internet most likely won't find it a big deal. Thank you so much Jim for all your blood, sweat, tears, love, heart, and soul that you've poured into this endeavor. This site is going places, no doubt!!!! I made a little something to show my appreciation... For you Jim Smith 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 They don't care, but we do, that's what counts. As far as the general boards, I never used them either on IMDb. I only went to specific movie/tv/actor boards. But for now, they are really hopping!! And I think the best way to use the site right now is, if you have a question for a specific movie etc, I think it would be best to post the question twice. Once on it's specific board, and once to this general discussion board. I feel that this general board is more busy than most movie specific boards, as of now. So you'll probably get an answer to your question faster here. Then as more people sign up, the movie boards will slowly get busier and busier. Long live MovieChat.org!!!! I think they will in time. It would help if we try to use the same user name that we used on IMDb. And I truly think that given enough time and revenue, this site has the potential to outshine IMDb eventually. And we can all do our part to help it to grow and getting more people here by regularly posting the link to this site in all of our social media circles. 😊😊 I repeat... You Da Man Jim!!!! Yeah it's great to not have to click on the email link in order to read the reply. Most can be fully read within the email (then you can decide if you want to reply or not). Unless it's a long one, then you only get a portion of it. That webpage is not available lol 😉😉😉😉 Morpheus very true, and so far he's been VERY responsive to us. It's like we are Jim's "helpers". Or "elves" lol. 😊💜 On Amazon it does indeed "hide" an "unhelpful" comment, but also lets you click on it to read it if you choose to. So nothing will disappear unless you want it to. All unhelpful hidden comments are easily clickable to read them.
