Hell yes! If anything, it's worth seeing just for John Noble's extraordinary performance. He really makes the show what it is. Of course, you also have the will they/won't they between Peter and Olivia. "To understand what happened at the diner, we'll use Mr. Papaya. This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits. Damn, now I really want to watch it again! I'm glad I avoided this movie. Even after all of these years, I still refuse to watch it. JonTron recently did a review of it. I'm glad he ripped it apart. It truly looks atrocious. Right. Nobody I know ever references the reboot. It has been over a year now since it was originally released in theaters. It's pretty much forgotten about. I haven't seen it since it originally premiered on TV in 1998 but yeah, I remember Larenz Tate didn't do that good of a job lip-syncing to songs such as "Why Do Fools Fall in Love", "Goody Goody", and "Little Bitty Pretty One" (think the last one is intentional because of the drugs). Though, Larenz did a pretty good job portraying Frankie Lymon, even though the actor is a thousand times better looking than Frankie himself. It only made $142m on a $100m production budget so, yes, it definitely bombed. There goes any chances for a sequel. I'm glad because the movie wasn't as great as I had anticipated. They took too much time to build the characters up. There just wasn't enough action sequences. Even when they got around to it, it blew chunks. The ones in the original show were more entertaining. I give it 5/10. At least they tried to make it as cheesy and campy as the original. It just didn't appeal to me as a fan of the original show. It was on "Duke" where, uh, Phil Collins' presence became more apparent. I think "Invisible Touch" was the group's undisputed masterpiece. The only time I really came close to watching this movie was the 20+ minute review from CinemaSins. They usually pretty much go over the more important aspects of films. I don't think I would have been able to sit through the actual 116 minutes. No, they did a terrible job with the 2016 version. Everything that made the original great was the complete opposite. Other than the political agenda behind it, nothing was interesting about the plot and characters. One of the things that really bothered me about this was the cameo appearances from the original actors (barring Harold Ramis and Rick Moranis). They actually murdered Bill Murray's character in this film. I don't think a Ghostbusters film should be about killing actual humans. The one from Dan was okay. Just a typical cabbie. Annie Potts was her usual grouchy self as a receptionist. Everybody else was meh, especially Sigourney. I don't know, the movie has been out for over a year. I think the outrage has pretty much died down at this point. I have to agree with the majority of the posters on here; this movie was unwatchable, at least for the greater part of after the intro until the end. I thought this was going to be a cute little comedic movie. The beginning sucked me in and gave me false hope. I had to keep pausing it because I was struggling with how bad the characters were. Though, the ending was okay, but damn, this film needed to be shortened by a good 30 minutes or so. Actually, it needed to be rewritten like the original French version. Disappointing to say the least. I figured that was going to happen; too many damn alternatives created for replacement IMDb boards, so people couldn't make up their minds and it inevitably split the community. I do post on another site that has quite a few people. It's strictly for TV shows. Unfortunately, you can't create your own topics, nor can you discuss future episodes until it actually airs. This site is perfect, but as you have stated, the traffic is nonexistent. IMDb has been around since 1990. People had years to find out about it. Even when Googling a show or movie, it would be one of the first sites to appear. I don't believe MovieChat will ever get there, at least not with people commenting via social media nowadays. I'd be fine if this was it. The revival has been nothing but a bit of a mixed bag. Some people hate it, others love it. Personally, I'm glad we received some sort of a resolve instead of a cliffhanger. Twenty-five years is a bit of a long wait. Plus, you have to figure that some of the cast has passed away during and after production. At least we were given three seasons and a movie.
