Brilliant list daniellediamond! and I was just thinking of this thread yesterday, after trying to watch Crow (2016) [unwatchful!] and then got moderate satisfaction from It Comes at Night (2017). Thank you so much - lots to chose from there. :-) That was brilliant! fab story-telling, and just on the right side of challenging. Thanks a million! And what a 'low budget film-making' masterclass, nice! Thanks a million for keeping this recommendation thread alive, MinaVladmir! I'm here for the long-haul albeit slooooow to reply :-) Watched Raw and thought it was rather good, too. I'll check The Nightmare - thanks for that! Hey MinaVladimir, check out A Dark Song (2016) if you can - think you might like it, too. I've seen all except Trollhunter, it looks good! About to click play on it right now, Thank you! I've seen a few of those titles and I'll surely to check out the others. Big fan of independent Australian films since Proof (Jocelyn Moorhouse, 1991). Horror comedy suggestions are very welcome, too :-) Watched Mientras Duermes, but not Tesis. Thanks a million MinaVladimir! Watched Spider Forest and Ringu - good, specially Spider Forest. found Audition but will wait for the right frame of mind, whatever that is. Also found both Three... Extremes, watching the older one now. Right side of bizarre, so refreshing! I was in need of an american-movie detox hehe. Thanks a lot godewey! funny! watched Rec (2007) some years ago, it was such a great surprise.... And, just last night, watched all the other Recs, have you seen them? I forgot to mention the super creepy The Devil's Backbone (Guillermo del Toro, 2001) - will check The Orphanage, didn't realize it was Spanish, produced by Guillermo del Toro. Thank you keybored! I know, and the gore is done superbly. Only saw Tale of Two Sisters from your much-appreciated list. Very good. I've seen Spike Lee's Oldboy, liked it well enough but I'm partial to Mr Lee, one of my favorite directors... will check the Vengeance Trilogy. Wonder how I'll feel about it afterwards. I remember seeing The Vanishing / Spoorloos (George Sluizer, 1988) then years later the remake - poor Jeff Bridges, what a flop! but even Tom Cruise couldn't spoil Vanilla Sky's remake, I liked it all right. But I've watched it before the original, so maybe that's the trick ;-) Think I'll start with Spider Forest... Thank you so much godewey! yes, please! preferably with less gore and more story :-) I've been doing my best on IMDb's Face*fcking*book page (which I never 'Liked' BTW) daily and see and support others there doing the same. Some people are thanking the info. Putting effort also on my humble social media pages... But it doesn't seem like many users here Liked / Followed MovieChat.org on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/MovieChat.org/ nor Twitter @MovieChatOrg as they have a meager 38 Likes and 26 Followers respectively. They could be a great way to spread the word, too. And maybe all this will be for the better in the end - Wikipedia and this site should, and I'm confident will, satisfy us users nicely - the good 'ol Wiki deserves the gained traffic. Yes, words, no images/gifs I made that mistake, too, the email as user name and would like to delete that, no rush, though. Great job, Jim! Do keep the simplicity, please and so no images, GIFs Fantastic Jim! I've been spreading the word, so deeply thankful!! Thanks a million for doing this Jim!
