I love Yanni also. It was the Spanish guitar in this beautiful video that led me to the connection between Yanni and Jose. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_jaGPxHMX1I I remember it. A great, catchy number. Do you remember this guitar player?https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E-zLwBf1Xe4 Same here, and like the OP, I've wondered when, where and how did that change in terminology occur? For me, Junior High was 7th-9th grades and high school began with 10th grade, also known as sophomore year. I used to drive all over the country so the appeal for me is that lifestyle of traveling and discovering all those great restaurants. It's the 80th anniversary of The Battle of Iwo Jima, one of the bloodiest of WW2. I saw a brief interview with a survivor and veteran. He was only 16 at the time. He must have lied about his age in order to get into the military. True, but I do like watching Fieri's Diners,Drive Ins and Dives. I enjoy watching Beat Bobby Flay. He usually wins, beating the challenging chefs with their own signature dishes. I've worked in a lot of restaurants and once toyed with the idea of going to culinary school myself. Yeah, she's the only porn star I'm aware of who made it into MENSA. Kind of narrows it down, doesn't it? 😁 Yeah, very similar. 😁 I did send one in. It was about a local young punk caught spray painting graffiti across town one night. He told the cops he was, "the only member of a gang." 🤣 I remember the so called gang had a stupid name and in his mug shot he looked really stupid. I used to love these on Monday nights. 😆 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PQP3jnibAIA Yeah, that's the conclusion I also came to. I think it's the mention of MENSA that did it. Why? It's harmless. 😁 One of my favorites during the 80s and beyond. As you can see in the bio, she is a member of MENSA, which is a society for geniuses. https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0006562/ Ahem, Andy King, are you seeing this? 😁 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g0j2dVuhr6s Two of my best friends from grade school up through high school were black. Blacks have their own, unique style of expression. I'm a boomer and I have a vague recollection that "cooked" might have come from "The Beat Generation." Maynard G. Krebs, was a beatnik and his catchphrase was, "Like wow, man!" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XlVcrsjHPbg 😁 This is where we differ. I'm a die hard rebel, not a follower of the crowd. I've learned that sometimes patients can get a bit loony while under anesthesia. I once had to have surgery for a double hernia in my groin. In the midst of it, I came out and felt the surgeon poking around inside of me and it hurt like hell but I started laughing. I remember a nurse saying almost incredulously, "Doctor, your patient is laughing!" Then I went back under. You'll never see me using it, like the stupid expression, "my bad."
